I love the sportsmanship shown by the athletes. The fans where supportive of all the nations competing too.
In my opinion it goes South Africa- Nkosi Sikeleli Africa France- Le Marseillaise Australia- Advance Australia Affair Then all the rest- US anthem, Canadian, German, Nigerian, Chinese etc
that's for sure. the great firewall prevents people from reading hatred and racism towards China. so nationalism is under control. people like me, read too much of that story outside of China. it makes you irrational and want to be violent.
oh one of the best part in Chinese anthem is, "use our flesh and blood to build our new great wall'. that's so awesome.
It has artillery shells flying through the air, does that count I love our anthem, sounds like we are getting ready to charge into battle every time its playing.
French and US anthems are definitely the best. Although seeing Alain Bernard on the medal stand after his smack talking was not a pleasant sight.

The French anthem sounds so boring, sounds like something you hear watching ballet. Italy's anthem is pretty good too.
We have a good one, but I've always found the Hymn of the Soviet Union to be the most stirring musically, especially when sung by the Red Army Choir. It's incredibly powerful. Don't get me wrong though, my favorite of all time is Marvin Gaye's version of the Star Spangled Banner.
oh, the song and lyrics were written in early 1900's. right about the fall of last imperial dynasty. when China was trying to fight off foreign invasions. at the time, the music and lyrics fit the mood perfectly. now it's a bit outdated, but it's a reminder for us young ones. which i appreciate.
just because we won doesn't mean there wasn't bias. it just means they didn't rig it hard enough. one of those judges is gonna wake up with a panda bear head in his bed tomorrow morning.
