So far, all the US athletes interviewed by US TV, were praising how generous and friendly Chinese people are, and how much they like the way they are treated, and how great the facilities are. But coming to this board, Rockets fans, who love to bash how bad Utah fans or Dallas fans are, are whinning non-stop when US got silver, whinning when US got gold and silver. Commie this and commie that. Just amazing.
shawn should have won gold. the judges were biased against her as she did the best on the beam. she should have won gold. but o well, US 1-2 was expected.
Excuse me, if I could just interject with a message for the 12 year old Chinese girls: NASTIA DRINKS YOUR MILKSHAKE. SHE DRINKS IT UP.
The Chinese spectators have been pretty great - hell, it feels like the US has a homecourt advantage in most events.
Um, that's EXACTLY what I said. It's only tape delayed on west coast. So if you are watching it right now and seeing what I in the central time zone am seeing, then you are watching it live.
what can i say. that's the good ole' USA for ya. i am liking the new Japanese PM more than some of these people here.
i never talked about the chinese PEOPLE. i talked about the chinese GOVERNMENT. and i'm sure the chinese people are just what the athletes describe: very generous and friendly. 2 big things. it's like people comparing george bush and his administration to the american people. george bush and his administration is a big BOMB and it's not like the americans will be offended. some people need to really not generalize things.
Chinese cheer for pretty much everyone. Americans are pretty popular. we don't really care about the Iraq war thing. it'll be home court for you guys.
1st and 2nd is great. I still don't like how judging works. I think it all went as placed 1st 2nd and 3rd but I don't understand the rulings the deductions and stuff. I guess that could be a good thing.
i cant remember who posted this famous line but.... stop posting immediately. so um, what you gonna do when the red white and blue tumbles, and flips on you. brotha?
the problem is, we only watch every 4 years. i have no idea what to look for, except the obvious things. but that's not all that counts. they should do a gymnastics 101 before the games.
not on the beam. shawn was CLEARLY the best one on that performance and did the hardest set but got pts deducted and nobody saw a mistake.
