scoring for gymnastics, like figure skating, are so subjective sometimes that it's so easy to be biased. unless someone basically outshines everyone else, how can you justify these scores at times?

Their passports say they are old enough to compete, and that is good enough for me.

If documentations come out that says they are under aged (something not on the internet) then yes we should be stripped of the medals that we have won in this competition.

i don't know. the judging seems fair after this round. the crappy one from China isn't going to medal. Liukin is leading. SJ is in the hunt. looks fair to me.

That Chinese gymnast should not be second leading into the floor exercise.

    Ah the nationalist mentality.

The onus is on YOU to refute numerous news articles prior to these olympics indicating the contrary.

But, don't worry - I'm sure no facts will get in the way of your beliefs.

You can't. Honestly from what I have seen I have no idea how they hell they could be giving these kind of scores.

The person in charge of Olympic gymnastics just came down and talked maybe we'll see reasonable scores now.

I feel bad for wanting 8 year old Chinese girls mess up on their routines.

I think the addition of "routine difficulty" scoring really favors the Chinese.

The Chinese team is built on performing ridiculous moves that Rocket their starting point skyhigh. It gives them more wiggle room both with errors and with scoring. i.e. "Sure she was shaking the whole time but the move was super-difficult so we cut her some slack".
