I am watching too, just got up in the east though. Take care the fouls and turnovers and they would win this one.
If the three ball keep falling for China in the second half,Yao and co. may have actually a chance to take this game!
Overtime...Doesn't look too good for China. Yao looks absolutely terrible out there. He can't run, can't move laterally at all, can't catch any passes, defends poorly, can't rebound, just generally is a walking turnover, can't make any shots, can't get closer to the basket with freakin' Gasol defending him. And Yao fouls out. It's over.
Same old Yao. Turnover prone. He was outplayed by both Gasol brothers. This is one of the main reasons why I don't buy the Rockets are better than Lakers argument outright. Pau Gasol gives Yao Ming fits. He uses his quickness to beat Yao on offense while on the defensive end he does a very good job of covering Yao one on one. Rockets don't have a clear advantage against the Lakers at center position.
1.) gasol is a PF, bynum plays center for the lakers 2.) yao is 7'6" 3.) there are 28 other teams in the NBA
1) Does not matter. Lakers know they can contain Yao by putting Gasol on him and go single coverage. PF and C are easily interchangeable based on matchups. 2) I know that. But you get no bonus points on court for height. 3) Title does not go thru all 28. It will most likely go thru Lakers who are the defending WC champions. As it stands, Gasol and Okur can more than neutralize Yao.
