just get rid of TKD. it's stupid. get rid of boxing. fighting that can't use legs, or much hands, aren't really fighting. on top of that, judging is ****ty in both of these.
I saw a 24 hour fitness commercial with Alicia Sacramone today... for you guys who drool over her, check it out on youtube if it's there. Edit: oh looks like you aren't the only ones on the internet who drool over her... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,404382,00.html
Way to save the event in the upcoming Olympics. The Aussie is just 20 years old, we are happy to have a rivalry in the future competitions. His score is probably the highest score ever made by a diver in recent years. 3.8 difficulty, four 10s, that's incredible. He deserves the gold medal.
Actually this part of the BBC article above is wrong: Actually it isn't. As the International Olympic Committee doesn't recognize the medal scorecard by country. It never has. It has been argued about a ton by their members over the years but nothing has ever done about it with the main reason they give is that it would affect the overall intergrity of what the Olympics are truely about. Instead of officially endorsing a scorecard they merely "unofficially" put one out for "informational" purposes as they put it that caters to both major groups (yes there are a few other countries that go by overall count as well as us) which can be found here: http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/INF/GL/95A/GL0000000.shtml As you can see they put out a medal table that ranks the countries in both ways.
Can someone explain why the Argentina-Lithuania game was on approximately 24 channels while the US-Brazil men's volleyball gold medal game isn't shown live at all, even online? I'm having to follow this game 1990's style. No worries, I won't spoil the results.
