As much as I like checking out Tian Jia and Misty May in beach volleyball I was kind of hoping NBC would stick with platform diving. I am in awe of the physical ability it takes to do those handstands and acrobatics off the platform and putting up with the pain of slamming the water in a missed dive. Plus some of the womens divers are pretty hot.
is china gonna win another friggin' gold over us by beating our unbeatable women's volleyball team? if they win this, it's just china's olympics and nothing can go wrong for them. good grief, an ace and then a serve into the net for the point.
Not watching but when I saw the rain, I figured that was a bad omen. Weather can be a great equalizer.

that's what i was thinking. we get to the gold medal game and then it rains. even mother nature wants china to win.
yeah i don't know why anyone thinks just total medals or just golds is the way to go. neither makes any sense. gotta be some weight to the medals.
pretty much anything that upsets the status quo is good for the underdog. just like no favorite wants to see it raining for a football game.
