I think the rams FINALLY end the wr drought....Holt is getting older, Bruce is gone, Drew Bennett isn't exactly a slot guy. Maybe Desean Jackson here?

A Cougar is the first WR taken.

Wow....Donnie Avery first wr selected! Props to the Coog....Didn't see that coming. Knew he'd get drafted, maybe round 2 or 3, but didn't expect him to go over all the others!

Yeah, Scouts, Inc. has him rated as the 14th best WR.

Who selected him? I was expecting to hear Jackson or Kelly or Sweed. Wow!

KC now takes Brandon Flowers. I really love their draft so far.....Dorsey, Albert and Flowers. I wonder what direction GB goes here.

Picks should be speeding up now and it seems they are.

With all the short WR screens that UH runs, it's really hard to judge how he'll transition to a pro offense. I'm happy for the Coog but it's a strange pick.

Donnie hardly ever took the screens.

He was more of a downfield guy.

I hope Kelly or Jackson slips to Philadelphia at 43 but for some reason I doubt it will happen. :(

And yeah, I'm freaking amazed DA went before ANY other WR.

Sweed, Jackson, Kelly? Over them, really?

I love the guy, but here's how I objectively see him..

at best = steve smith lite

at worst = wes welker 2.0

Hilarious to see Sweed and Jackson still on the board and have the little known WRs get picked before them.

Well I saw on ESPN, before they went to break, that the Falcons selected a LB so 5 picks in between Philly and hopefully a nice wideout.

Another version of wes welker is nothing to shake at. That guy was indisepensible for the Pats this year. There must be a ton of smokescreen action going on about the WR's out there if Avery and Jordy Nelson were two of the top 3 wr's taken. Don't get me wrong- they are both very talented in their own right, and they definitely bring skills to the table. But no one was projecting them to be the top wr's taken. I'm really curious to see where the possible first rounders like sweed, jackson and kelly fall. I wonder if the injury concerns with Limas' wrist, Jackson's attitude issues and Kelly's whiny b****iness are causing the drops?
