I went to a sports bar last night. they were showing every, including hockey and the spurs game, but for some reason they wouldn't put it on the duke/belmont game
Duke/Belmont was easily one of the best atmospheres I've ever seen at a sporting event. It was amazing. I think everyone in the arena expected Belmont to hit a jumper with four seconds remaining... unfortunately, didn't happen. But incredible game nonetheless...
San Diego in the midst of a colossal collapse... two 1/2 trips from the line allows Connecticut to tie it, and they missed a point blank, uncontested layup at the buzzer that would've won it. (Granted, the SD big man was clearly holding Thabeet to keep him from blocking the shot, but it was an uncontested shot however it came about.) Overtime.
This is just embarrassing. San Diego has a guy running around on one leg, but they refuse to take him out, and UConn exploits him with a quick backcut to take the lead on a layup with 30 seconds left. I hope San Diego comes back to win, but this is a choke all the way around.
