i don't think it hit me until just now just how amazing dirk's shooting is at his height. when he would go to the wings and they show the camera looking out from the basket, you realize just how tall he is compared to the other shooters and how crazy it is that someone that tall can stroke it like that. i think the fact that he's usually guarded by someone close to his height doesn't make it seem as ridiculous as it really is until he's just out there by himself.

Never noticed how Nowitzki gets so much air under his shots.

he can't always have that much air under shot can he? at least during games it doesn't seem like he does. those things were bringing rain.

Maybe cuz he has a high release and he's so tall already automatically the high point of his shot is taller than other peoples  Like Yao

    Man Kapono went OFF!

yao has a fairly low arc shot though. he practically just shoots it flat at the rim he's so tall.

man, 18 didn't even make the finals and 24 won in the final round. pretty impressive shooting. and i've never seen the shooters make so many money balls before.

Did anyone notice how much D*ck F*ckwitzki was complaining to the referees during the three-pointers? None called a technical foul on his complaints. :D

The Rockets play Miami next. Shane and Tmac will have no excuse for leaving Kapono open. THey can't say: I didn't know he was such a good shooter. That excuse won't fly :)

Right. There's no excuse for them to get out"skilled" by Wade either. They know whats coming :p jk

That was the first time I saw the Nike commercial with all the NBA stars in it. Cool commercial. Though I'm not a fan of Juelz Santana

The last couple of Heat games I saw were eye-opening. Kapono was very aggressive looking for his shot. He didn't defer to anyone, Wade included, until the 4th quarter. Sometimes he seemed downright selfish. If you chop out the first month of the season, he's taking 10 shots per game (4 of them 3 pointers) and his percentages are amazing. He is the kind of player we hope Novak will be after a couple of years.

None of these dunks is new. Why they still have this competition is beyond silly. NO new dunks. I guess youngsters get hyped by this. It's still 2 points.

i don't really like him, but the slo-mo of nate rob hanging in the air, kicking his legs apart with the ball resting on one hand looked pretty cool.

and that might've been some of the best scoring ever. they didn't score some weak dunk a 45 or a nice one a 48 and leave themselves no way to really score a great dunk well. 48, 45, 43 were pretty right on for the dunks the 3 guys did and a good way to separate good from great dunks. lol on jordan being the russian judge.

    green can friggin' get up.

My boy, D Howard is getting no love

What 7 footer in the history of the NBA could do what he just did?

Windmill from a 280 pound guy? You kidding me?

I admit it doesn't look just as good as a small guy doing it, but you have to understand gravity and Newton's laws of physics :)

A man his size is not supposed to have that much hangtime
