D'Antoni wants Amare to get MVP. I know ALl Star Game is not important and ot sucks. I'm just happy that Tracy had 11 ast and he is reall healthly:) The ALl STar Weekend is just boring for me. Every body says its great, but i do ont think so. It's just to have fun. I'm really looking forward to Wednsday to see Rockets and McGrady play with Miami. It's great the season is back. That's great, not ASW. I hope we beat Heat.

How did Amare not win MVP?? Im tired of seeing Bryant being a ball hog and get rewarded.

Apparently, Kobe, Le Bron, Amare, and Arenas all care about it.

I dont know too. Bryant said he don't wan to win MVP he just wants to have fun. That was false. He knew that and was thinking about MVP since begining of the ASW. He SUCKS! i hate him, because he did;n play for team. If he wanted to pass the ball there have always been turnovers. I cant wait Wednsday:D

so tired of people hating kobe nonstop. Ray Allen was a much bigger ballhog than Kobe--shooting it at every touch possible. Kobe was looking for the fancy pass as much as anyone

Disgusting display of everything that is wrong with the USA and to think we broadcast it to 225 foreign Countries!

Um... maybe because all Amare did was finish the opportunities that his teammates created for him?

Kobe created his own opportunities and opportunities for others. I'm don't like Kobe but if Amare won MVP it would have been a travesty.

You guys think conference winner of the ASG should get Home court advantage in the playoffs?

that would be terrible, so much more preparation would need to go into strategy, players would be playing long minutes, and players have a much greater chance of getting hurt.

ray allen didn't dominate the ball like kobe did, I'm willing to bet he had longest accumalative time of posession of the ball for the whole game. And ray allen is known for his shooting, not ball handling, not a killer crossover or windmill dunks, so he did what is natural to him. And Kobe does best at what he does, making sure everybody watches and talks about him, he's pretty good at that. In other words he's your classic attention w****.

Yep, and all Amare does is feed off nice passes from his teammates, like usual.

why does everyone hate on kobe so much?

why does no one remember last year's all star game when Kobe helped out Tmac

kobe was just good. he put on a show for everyone and that's all he wanted.
would you rather lebron or arenas, guys who shot like 3 airballs, tried to copy Tmac but failed so horribly win?

EAST STARS: KOBE WAS GUNNING FOR MVP

NBA stars walk a fine line when it comes to winning the All-Star MVP award. Try too hard, and a player runs the risk of looking selfish. At the same time, nobody wants to be clowned in front of a national TV audience and a crowd full of celebrities and rap stars.

Bryant, a player who has never cared what other players think about him when he steps between the lines, clearly has less ambivalence in that regard than most of his peers. After the Lakers star took home the MVP trophy Sunday, several East players said they could tell right away Kobe had the trophy on his mind.

"You could tell early on that he was being aggressive, and you can always tell what guys have that mentality that night to go for the MVP by how aggressive they are shooting the ball," Dwyane Wade said. "I told my guys on the bench I can't come after the ball four times in a row in an All-Star Game because then I feel I'm doing too much. But certain guys, it's their time."

"He changed his jersey number, and he's reinvented himself," Gilbert Arenas said. "It was like a real game [for him], like a playoff game, the way he was playing."

I watched the game, i think Amare is more selfish than kobe!

Because Kobe is selfish, arrogant, egotist, and a rapist (well...we will never will know the truth...but one never knows).

Kobe used to play selfish basketball in LA. In Lakers he shoots many times and you know he doesn't know what mean fun, unselfish...
