A career 10 point, 5 board player for the 8th pick in a shallow draft. Yeah, great job guys Moneyball is off to a flying start.

Gee, after the letdown in the NFL draft, can Houston take a Shane Battier with the #8 pick?

Portland trades Foye for Roy? Why couldn't WE have done something like that???

Any chance we trade back into the 1st to get Redick?

Magic takes Redick. Well, so much for that.

CD, it's time for you to ride off into the sunset. Take JVG and Morey with you.

This CD press conference has got to be the most lackluster pc of all time. Everyone knows we're not keeping him and so no one really has any questions.

This deal reminds me of something the Comets would do. Trade a talented draft pick for some old player who "fills a need". Seeing as how it's basically the same decision making group I really shouldn't be surprised.

They now are saying the rights have been traded. If this has really gone down the Rockets are the most ignorant team in the nba. Even more moronic than the Knicks.

Are you kidding? Personally I think Battier's a steal. Dude, a back up SF? Battier's been starting for Memphis every game last season! And he hasn't missed a game! He's at his prime, and capable. If Gay could be better than Battier next year, he would be Rookie of the Year. This is GREAT!!!!!

What a let down by the Rox...R.Gay falls into your laps and you trade him.....for Shane Battier of all people....Houston really needed a good draft pic after what the Texans pulled...Gay would have done just that...For those 6-7% who think this was a good trade, I have one word..IDIOTS!!!!!

    I'm going to be sick.

The other day someone called drafting Rudy Gay at #8 a grand slam.

We just hit into a double play.

Sorry to double post. It says the deal can't be finalized until July 12. Does it mean we can cancel it?

That's what I'm saying. Don't do it. It would be Stromile Swift and Rudy Gay for Shane Battier????????????????????????????? No, there has to be something else.
