55 - 27 - We are healthy and peaking at the end of the year.

Agreed, major injuries notwithstanding, we should win 55 - 60 games.
I love the fact we can play any style of ball...and create so many matchup problems for the opposing teams. It should translate to many W's during the season and a halfcourt game that'll kill in the playoffs.

    54-28 Western Conference Finals loser.

Although I'm as optimistic as I've been with this team in years, I'm going low to keep from jinxing them.

    Regular Season: 53-29
Postseason: lose in western conference finals :(

They're not going all the way. First things first. They need to get past round two before winning it all.

Hate to say it, but McGrady's back won't be good all season. We'll make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs and lose. Regular Season record 51-31. This team is MAJOR PROGRESS over the past several seasons. No more Carroll Dawson will be a major plus.

i am going to say 59 wins...we could be on pace for 60+ but lose some at the end while resting starters during meaningless games.

    59-23

if we make it past the first round i am saying WCF easily. once tmac and yao learn how to close teams out they are going to be downright scary.

I am lowballing their season record because of the strength of the West and because the rotation will still need to get used to each other.

Once they get rolling I don't think any team can handle them. Parameter defense and shooting will be much, much better this year. I like how they set up the offense so quickly in preseason and all of the good, crisp passing they are making to get the right shot. I think a midseason move to get another banger to help out Yao and the PF position will put them over the top for the stretch drive. Once the playoffs start they will roll like the mighty Mississippi, baby.

Rockets over the Chicago Bulls in 5 games.

Your 2006-2007 NBA World Champion Houston Rockets!

I'd like to say we act like the 96 bulls and win 72 games, but i'll say we go
61-21, we win the finals in 6 games over miami

I'm gonna predict 52-30, gets past the first round, but lose in the 2nd rd. That said, I'm hopin for much more, but that's the yardstick....anything more is above and beyond, anything less is considered a shortcoming.
