maybe we can get clutchfans and china to take down vegas....they only have us winning 46 to 47 games.

that being said we will be 52 - 30.

I want to say 61-21. But I'll be conservative and say 55-27. Pick up speed and steam-roll to the title over the Heat in 6.

What's the odds? There was a thread earlier said it was 25:1 we win the championship.

    Ok,

Now that the preseason is over, I am changing my sig to reflect what I really think.

I have MASSIVE optimism for this team....that ball was moving around the perimeter in an unselfish fashion the likes of which Houston has RARELY seen.

I see this team shocking a lot of people and winning the west and going on to win the title.

    Rockets 59-23

    NBA champs.

the site I use is pinnaclesports.com and I was able to get my bet in when the rox signed bonzi before the news broke nationally. I got it at -108 on the rox over 44 wins. I checked it a couple days ago because I was thinking about adding to the bet and it was like -127 for rox over 46.5 wins. I check it again just now and someone is betting big money on the rox over. it is now at -147 for rox over 47 wins. I always like watching the lines move as they get closer to closing.

also....i am betting the first game against the jazz...WE ARE 1 POINT DOGS! crazy stuff. I think the rox will be getting favorable lines early since a lot of people don't realize how good we can be.

I really like the look of the team this season, but..

    49-33

Something will go wrong somewhere. Slow start, poor chemistry, injuries, whatever. (Low expectations make life as a fan easier :D)

We sneak into the playoffs and get to the second round before bowing out, though

    Regular Season: 49:33
Playoff: Lose to Spurs in the 1st round.

Here is my prediction, Mavs, Suns, and the Spurs will take the top three seeds. We will have to fight for position between 4th to 8th seed.

    1. Mavs (63 - 19)
    2. Suns (60 - 22)
    3. Spurs (58 - 24)
    4. Clippers (52 - 27)
    5. Nuggets (50 - 32)
    6. Rockets (49 - 33)
    7. Warriors (48 - 34)
    8. Lakers (47 - 35)
    9. Wolves (45 - 37)

    51-31

Make it past the first round and lose in the conference semifinals.

I like the look of this team a lot, but the inexperience in key backup roles, the lack of any real beef/rebounding on the front line and the question mark about the health of several guys keeps me from predicting more.

I hope I'm way too conservative in my prediction.

As usual, Jeff is being the ultra sensible guy. I'll go with his record but add a win or two, (or three, or four, or ten)

    After watching the pre-season
52-30, we have no significant injuries, Yao plays at 22.5/10 and Tracy adds a nice 24.0

Bonzi comes on after Dec and Novak averages 10 pts but makes some big treys to win some games.

Rafer has a good season with a decent %

Van Gundy smiles in 3 of the 82 games (that's 200% improvement)

And we win the championship in 7 over a surprisingly good Cleveland team led by LJ

    LJ wins the MVP
    Yao Ming is finals MVP

    How Sweet It Is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
