Maybe if the Texans used their 1st pick on him. But otherwise, no. (p.s. thats some bookmarking material right there.. cause, you know, i'm a really petty person who is all about rubbing people's faces in their own know-it-all doodoo )
That wouldnt surprise me one bit. A punter with the 4th pick but if they get the number 1 pick they will go with a fullback.
I dont want the Texans to get the 1st pick again. It really wouldnt help our cause. I'd rather see them pick somwhere in the 4-6 range.
Would Mario William even be the #1 pick this yr? if he was in it again .... ? I know VY or Bush would be LOCKED for #1-2 .... so that just shows THE TEXANS SCREWED UP!!!!!!!
are y'all crazy????????? the Texannes should trade whatever top-5 pick they get. too many inept decisions compounded by too much dedicated ca$h... blah, blah, blah...
I'm not rooting for this team to lose. That's just stupid. Trust your team to acquire who they need and give them time to adapt to the new system. This team is at least 3 years from being playoff bound no matter who gets picked.
Besides the Mario pick, we just had the best draft in the history of the franchise. I know the first pick was a major screw up (I'm finally admitting that so go easy on me) but every pick after that got us a bonifide NFL player. More players than all 4 drafts before it combined. I know it seems dark now for obvious reasons, but there IS a light at the end of the tunnel.
Well, this is the next best thing. I seem to recall seeing elswhere that the Texans are currently in the 6th spot, but it all comes down to strength of schedule.
Damn it's time like this that you just want to curse Miami for not putting Harrington in. Same thing for Jacksonville, couldn't they just of showed up once like they did for the Colts.
http://www.thehuddlereport.com/nickelpackage/draftorder.shtml Pick/Team/W/Opp% 1 LIONS 2 0.524 2 RAIDERS 2 0.534 3 BUCCANEERS 3 0.563 4 CARDINALS 4 0.490 5 TEXANS 4 0.519 6 REDSKINS 4 0.519 7 BROWNS 4 0.534 A Bucs\Redsking\Cardinal win can push us into #3. If only the football gods can get the Raiders and Lions to win.
Besides the landing, I'd say the Hindenberg's trip to New Jersey was a flaming success. In seriousness I know Ryans is good but can you say the other guys are all that great yet? Compare them to the trash that has been picked in previous years I guess they're ok but, it's I don't know if it's that easy to get excited about having the 10th best rookie running back in Wali Lundy, IMO.
et tu, ima_drummer2k....? is there no one left to help keep these crybabies at arm's length....? seriously, it's only a "screw-up" if mario williams doesn't pan out, but he's been very good this year. the rockets passed on jordan, too, you know...........
Guys, we're NOT like the Clippers of old; We're like the Bengals in the 90's. At least pick a team in the same sport. Bengals in the 1990's: 1991: 3-13 record (result: #6 pick overall) 1992: 5-11 record (result: #5 pick overall) 1993: 3-13 record (result: #1 pick overall) 1994: 3-13 record (result: #1 pick overall) 1995: 7-9 record (result: #10 pick overall) 1996: 8-8 record (result: #14 pick overall) 1997: 7-9 record (result: #13 pick overall) 1998: 3-13 record (result: #3 pick overall) 1999: 4-12 record (result: #4 pick overall) 2000: 4-12 record (result: #4 pick overall) During the 1990's, the Bengals twice had the #1 pick overall, selecting Dan Wilkinson (eh, not terrible) and Ki-Jana Carter (*snicker*). (Their average drafting position in the first round during those 10 years was #6.) Also, don't forget that in 1992 (10 years before the Texans did), they selected, with their first pick, another highly-touted QB named David... David Klingler, that is. Spoooooooky. (Ok, not really.) Don't worry about becoming the Bengals, though. I mean, it's not like we've ever matched or surpassed their pathetic low of 3 wins in any given season. Oh, wait...
