I guess you guys hate me since I am in HR (have been since February). Someone has already mentioned it, but the person who hits "reply to all" when they should have only hit "reply". Those emails are always comical but annoying at the same time. Also can't stand the office gossip that goes on (that is what happens when you are like one of 4 men in a building with 25 women).
I work with HR people all day everday. Really hit or miss. I need to second the "forwarding something to me that was already sent to me" thing. My boss does this all the time. Another one that may be unique to my office, is being asked to print out an email so someone can read it.
i'm sure everyone has to deal with the large number of morons who like to hit "Reply All" on a message sent to a large group. Of course, the original sender who's asking for a reply could just BCC the group name so that this mistake couldn't happen, but that's a separate annoyance.. either way, I end up with 50 replies about who's attending the office xmas party or whatever.
Oh, here's my biggest one. I work on a lot of solo projects and am answerable only to the President of the company. Yet for some reason there is this chick who always has to bug me about whether I've finished such and such project. I've never missed a deadline, and even if I did, I could get in trouble with my boss and still get you fired. Shut up and leave me alone.
Whoever it is that keeps painting the walls of the handicap bathroom with their feces (I will catch you!) The jerkoff sitting in the cube next to me that has the most annoying trance ringtone Guy who talks on the phone to his mother everyday waaaay too loud People that talk to each other on speakerphones when they sit approximately 15 feet away from each other. SERIOUSLY!
Ye gods. Every day. And I mean every day I see at least five people on the bus with a huge stack of printed out emails to read. WTF And no, most of them are obviously not work related.
This drives me up the wall. Why can't you read it on the screen????? I am not a tree hugger, but at the same time I hate that we waste so much paper in our office printing things that get thrown away 5 minutes after they are printed.
me, you, everybody, everything i hate people in IT who are so nerdy...that they have a nerdy accent. nerdy accents annoy the hell out of me. seriously. such a f-ing nerd they can't even talk normal. also, one guy next to me in a cubicle tends to go off into drum mode on his desk...like he's not bothering anyone given four cubicles are basically connected and feel vibrations coming from any one cubicle desk. people who self-compliment themselves out loud...like they are God's gift to the group or something. "oh...this is really, really cool. wow...amazing. this is bad ass. great. woohoo."
some of the older people at work have told me that it strains their eyes to read a document on the screen. so they print out 1000 page pdf's. yeah it's dumb, but at least i can understand. If your eyes hurt, do something to make them not hurt that still lets you get your job done.
Under those circumstances I wouldn't be bothered. In my office the problem is that the people who need to read them are stir crazy and don't like to sit.
Equally comical are the people that "reply to all" in order to b**** about the original "reply to all".
I know it's not in my office but when customers call in and have me on speaker phone and there are at least 4 people talking in the back ground, pick up the phone.
