It's customary for the Astros to lose challenges..

Sale's motion reminds of Randy Johnson. He is even a skinny, tall left hander.

Stros should know they will never win a challenge against Boston

I get as angry as the next person, but if you’ve been watching the game, Verlander has gotten a lot of the borderline calls.

Bregman needs drills on keeping his hand on the second base bag. Reminds me of a similar one at Minute Maid against Tampa, where he tried to stretch a single into a double.

Pitch count up to 69...still a good inning.

Are the Stros the worst sliders in baseball?

Sale can barely throw strikes. Don’t really think the steal attempt was a good idea.

Sale has thrown 50 consecutive pitches without a swing-and-miss.

    Wowzers !!

You’re fine, I just saw the umps comment so I thought I should talk about the strike zone, but if you’re talking about the challenge itself then I understand.

I’ll take losing a challenge like that, if the home ump keeps giving Verlander that strike zone.

I'm still surprised how many Astros are not swinging at that 2-0 strike pitch. We all see he doesn't have the velocity, and he has not be placing that pitch on borders, it is in the meat of the strike zone.

Wow. He probably did overslide himself into a legit out, but he's clearly safe on the initial contact with the bag. I'd like to see a little explanation of that call.

Ya know, "tie goes to the runner" seems to have been completely forgotten as a rule since replay really hit its stride. I've seen it consistently move in the direction of "tie goes to the fielder, and ask for a replay if you disagree."

At the very least, the initial call when it's that close ought to be safe.
