Looks like the Astros loaned their offense to the Rockets tonight. Wow that's an epic blowout taking place!
We doing this inept offense at home stuff again? I just hate the Angels and want to give them no hope of winning division.
I would trade an Astros loss for a Rockets playoff win any day. Stros can lose every other day through June and turn it on late in the year and win a ring.
MMP fans still the most clueless on foul balls. I guarantee you if that was an Astro 1B, those same fans may just interfere more next time.
Checking in on this game. Offense snoozing so far. Why Hinch continues to force feed guys like Gattis and Jake in the lineup is beyond explanation at this point. DH Stassi and play Reddick everyday even against lefties.
If on any given night, you're relying on Stassi and Reddick vs lefties to take up the bulk of this offense, its not usually going to be a favorable outcome. Springer-Altuve-Correa-Gurriel-Bregman.... all right-handed batters that should excel vs left-handed pitching. The offense will typically go as those players collectively go.
I am completely OK with that. Offense in baseball can be infuriating sometimes. Teams can go from zero to fifty and back again without any explanation, just gotta roll with it.
Jake and Gattis are too bad though to be getting as much playing time as they are. When the rest of the lineup is going it doesn't hurt quite as bad but for the most part it still hurts playing hitter this bad too much.
If there was ever a baseball-like explosion in a basketball game, the Rockets put one on tonight. That third quarter was the equivalent of putting up a random 10-spot in the 6th inning of a previously scoreless game.
Gattis has to hit lefties. He's pretty useless if he's not. Jake is on precarious grounds... he's going to see less playing time if he can't start hitting.
It was a very baseball like explosion. Like our shooting BABIP was due. We're gonna hit shots eventually. We have to get back to our average.. ..right? ...right? ....I'm getting a little ner, oh there they are.
