LOL why is it an insult? Didn't DH start out as a scrawny kid as well? And c'mon now, NOBODY said Okafor would turn out like Duncan...except maybe fans that drink kool-aid on every single pick that comes up.
Their measurements are very similar, and the way they play the game. Dwight Howard though, is just a freak. He worked really hard to get to where he's at now. He had a lot of room to fulfill that potential, while I don't think Favors is quite the specimen, I can understand the similarities.
Although DH has put in a considerable amount of work, you can't really deny that 80% of what makes DH the best C in the league is his body. By all accounts, Favors' body is extremely similar to what DH had when he was Favors' age. A lot of scouts have already commented on this fact, and considering Favors also has a good work ethic and stays out of trouble just like DH, I don't see any reason why he can't approach DH's status in the future. Of course all this is just conjecture at this point, but any rational person can see the odds of Favors succeeding in the league is extremely high. Meh said it best, in terms of value Favors far outweighs C-bud/Pat/Hill combined.
Ehh, IDK if he's worth all three of them. It's awfully tempting, I'm a potential lover lol but it's close.
You're trippin'. When people speak of the future, they don't mean next year or even 3 years from now. Put DH himself on the court against those three and he too would fail. Be a fan, not a fanatic!
LOL why would DH go against Hill, PP and C-bud on a 1-on-3? At first I thought you were joking, but you're serious. Basketball is a 5-on-5 game. DH is worth more value wise than Hill/Pat/C-bud combined because role players are relatively easy to acquire compared to potential franchise guys. You get favors or DH, sign vet guys like Matt Barnes and presto! You have a better team than one with 3 role players. DH+other guys will do way more for you on the court than Pat2/Hill/Cbud together.
