Very true, Morey sometime likes to blind side you with trades..

There was not a single rumor of the Courtney Lee for Ariza trade on Clutchfans or anywhere on the internet until the day of the trade.

    Sneaky b*stard.

I still cant believe we got Martin for Landry. He may very well net us Carmelo.
So it would basically be 2nd rounder (Landry) for Carmelo.
    Still doubt Morey?

At least the Nets aren't gonna offer Lopez, that gives us a better chance of acquiring Melo.

Hopefully we don't offer Brooks but I doubt it.

Bad metaphor. Abel got killed by Cain.

Well as long as Melo lands in the East and not on NY, I'm happy.

    Are you serious?

Favors>>>>> Bud+pat+hill. Hell, forget Melo I'd do the trade for Favors right now.

Favors has a higher upside than any of those three, he's like a carbon copy of DH. He's someone you can build around and feature as your franchise player, neither of which you can about Bud-Pat and Hill.

"Well that's interesting Carmelo Anthony don't all those teams that want you suck?...except for the Magic. The Knicks stink. The Timberwolves are terrible. The Rockets have potential, but Houston as a city is not a great place to end up. The Hornets have issues. CP3 should rather come here than bring Melo to him. The Bulls are a good squad, but the Nuggets should axe that. Taj Gibson and Luol Deng? That's a ham sandwich and a bag of chips. The Warriors and Kings? Wrong part of California and records on the wrong side of .500. What do the Magic have to give for value? Vince Carter? The guy said he was giving up dunking then got old blown out knees and really has pretty much given up dunking against his will... Why take Jameer Nelson when you've got Ty Lawson. I saw Gortat in the finals 2 years ago and he was good....where did he go during last year's playoffs? And the Magic won't even have good draft picks. The Nets...uh yeah, you guys were flirting with 10 wins. The 2002-2003 Nuggets think that records stinks. Not only can the Nuggets not do better and get anywhere near matching value....Melo would really struggle to get matching value for what he has in Denver too. Let's say he did go to NYC with CP3 in tow. Are the Knicks really better than the Celtics, Heat, or Magic in that scenario or even the Bulls for that matter? The Knicks are very likely the 4th best team in the East in that scenario and the Nuggets are already a top 4 team in the now easier West even with losing George Karl's coaching leadership for months.

Until Andris Biedrins and his sweet free throw shooting is on the table... NO DEAL!!!!"

    Haters gotta hate.

Patpat isn't anything to scoff at either.

    NCAA:
    Favors
    2009-2010: 27.5 MPG, 12.4 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.1 BPG, 61.1% FG
    Patterson
    2008-2009: 33.7 MPG, 17.9 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 2.1 BLG, 60.3% FG

    Summer league:
    Favors
    27.6 MPG, 10.6 PPG, 6.8 RPG, .6 BPG, 46.7% FG
    Patterson
    28.2 MPG, 9.2 PPG, 7.2 RPG, .8 BPG, 44.4% FG

However, Favors is 2 years younger, so I don't doubt that he has potential.

People, let's refudiate this Melo crap!

Houston needs no melo, and melo doesn't really need us, it's all smoking bomb played by people around melo to use us as a chip to raise his value.

People overrate Derek Favors, comparing him to Dwight Howard is an insult to Howard.

Remember when people were comparing Okafor to Duncan? See how that turned out.

It's not that bad if they make him their go to guy. He's been playing with scorers most of his career, so he's always hovered under 20ppg, but i think he's a legit 20ppg scorer if he has a green light and they urge him to be a go to guy. He also rebounds very well at his position.

Well, Houston is supposedly the 2nd most boring city to visit...

Perhaps they just read this article.

Most NBA players love Houston anyway.
