Exactly. Any word is offensive if it is used in a negative connotation. All this PC stuff is really going too far, IMO.
Like some have said, any negative word can be condemned. Pretty much, you'll have to say you can't speak negatively about anyone. I say the word r****d. I would never call someone that clearly has a mental problem that. And I wouldn't do it on accident because I only use the word with people I know.. I don't go around insulting random people.

I actually have a nephew that has learning disabilities. But, I don't care of one of my friends says Ron Artest is r****ded. Or that outfit looks r****ded. It's just an expression. Not normally intended to hurt people's feelings. If used with malice, towards a person with learning disabilities, I'd feel differently.
