With the ability of hindsight I wish we would have tried to get Trent Williams from Washington at the time we acquired Tunsil. He would have been cheaper to acquire and better all around.

Howard is worrying me. Everytime I focused on him he was getting pushed into CJ.

They tried and Williams said he didn't want to play in Houston IIRC.

Howard is by far the Texans worst starting OL.

Green had a good grade last week, he must have had a grade in the 40's this week.

Scruggs didn't have a grade this week, so this post is misleading.

I'm not a fan of PFF grades in general.

When I watch the tape the issues start with IOL. Particularly on run plays. I added the Patterson grade for reference to compare to Juice. I would agree that its still too early to make any sort of determination either way, but OL was suspect last year and we downplayed it to injuries. Lets hope that we dont lose many more bodies and the starters get up to a respectable level of play.

The Bears front 7 will test the best O-Lines in the game so Im giving them a pass mainly due to securing the win. Just something to keep an eye on. Im open to any other grading source you can share.

My fear is that, based on how well the Packers were also able to run on the Colts, that first game was more the opposition than it was our O-line/run game. I hope that fear is misguided.

The Colts sold out to stop the intermediate and long completions. So it was as much about match-ups as it was domination in the running game. Game two the Bears sold out to stop the running game. It's more of a pick your poison situation.

It seems like a lot of these sacks are related to stunts more so then just getting beat in passing situations.

Slowik and the o-line needs to play better. Tank needs to wake the eff up. We are fortunate to be 2-0 but we have to improve if we want to make any noise this year.

Yeah, and we paid him huge money and last year he was injury riddled all year. I'm worried about him too, because like you said, he didn't seem like he was protecting that right side very well. I hope he changes my mind down the road.

Also Tank needs to step up and play to his abilities.

The fumbling inside the 5 yd line when they're about to put the game away needs to stop.

They need to cleanup the penalties.

Need better coaching, although Ryans is a great gameday coach.

Vikings run a 3-4. I read somewhere that zone schemes have to change their game plan when going up against 3-4 defenses. Like blocking assignment change and stuff. Anyway, Flores is a very good D coach from the Hoodie tree, trash HC but a great game day DC. We’re gonna see a ton of Blitz and stuff. I don’t remember if CJ has played against a 3-4 yet? Anyway, Oline coaches better have that group prepared.

Agree with this except O'Connell is a very good young HC.
