Agreed. All someone needs to do in the playoffs is shut down Harden like Wes Matthews did last year and it's over. Once we establish DMo as a legit second option in the post, he will demand a double team which will open up our wings for a better shot and when Dwight's man leaves him to close out the wings, he can grab the offensive board. I'm just following through from a post yesterday about DMo that I completely agree with. If Dwight focuses on free throws, Josh Smith focuses on his post play and free throws and Harden finds ways to get them open only then will we be a contender. In short play to our strengths. The beauty is, Dwight doesn't have to be a Hakeem-esque post player for us now. You see Pop yelling at Manu taking daft threes at the end of the game. We need that discipline. If not from a coach then from a player. We should win it all, seriously speaking. We are that good but don't play that way consistently enough.
But I thought you just said if harden isn't hitting his shots we are doomed??? So how much did we lose by tonight?
Don't get smart, you know it's a problem Harden has to get hot most of the time for us to win. It's not like Hakeem Olajuwon carrying us, since he had his moves in the post and there was an offensive scheme. Harden has to work hard for his shots and we usually rely on him to carry us home, that can also be done by assist / playmaking. Still, it's a freeflow offense and anything can happen so I rather we have schemes we stick to than pray Harden or a role player gets hot!
Ya, the scheme was a. Get it to Hakeem or b. Kick it out and hit the 3. Real complicated scheme... Hope we can figure out a complex, title-guaranteeing scheme like that!
Cleveland sucks. Without Lebron, they REALLY suck But I did notice a few offensive set we ran out there, to my suprise. It seems the Rockets have added a few tweeks to the offense. Hopefully they'll follow that into the postseason
