Sorry, but this post is bad logic. Basketball is a zero sum game. The ability to score points = the ability to deny points. And just to poke some fun at your extreme example, you can generate points through defense by drawing charges. If a game outcome is determined 99.9% by defense and 0.1% by offense, are you really going to claim offense is the deciding factor and not defense?
