Awesome Here's the hands on preview by teamxbox.com http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox/723/Halo-2/p1 And here's the videos released by Bungie.net, of Halo Multiplayer. http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox/720/Halo-2/p1
Can't believe the release date is November 9. *sigh* Here's hoping Fable is all it's cracked up to be and keeps me busy until then. Maybe Jade Empire too depending on it's release date.
After seeing PSP, Nintendo is in big trouble, they have weaker tech, but better internal content. The PSP is simply WAY more powerful. I have not gotten out of our booth much as we are showing about 10 games.... However, the Nintendo girls are FRICKEN amazing and at least 2 of them are flawless. DD
OMG!!! I so want the PSP!!!! ARGH! Gotta wait till 2005. Check out this video of the system being run. Video http://www.e3insider.com/articles/floored/41R80T4JYO.htm
I'll likely get both handhelds, just a matter of which I buy first. Which will probably be the DS. Wireless multiplayer, two screen layout (with second screen a touch-screen), and a lot of games that I already want to play. Plus backwards compatibility with all existing Game Boy Advance games. PSP's power definitely is impressive, which makes it more like a media machine than a game machine. But an estimated 2.5 hour battery life is pretty poor, and something tells me it will be damn expensive right at the first. I'll look forward to owning it eventually, though.
I watched the E3 video and they said 10hr BL. It has a 10 hour battery life off of a LI battery. 10hr BL is great! That link my my last post has the info.
Yep, it would give me enough time to game on my way to Amsterdam, and then there I would have to charge it up for a bit and then use it for the rest of my flight. This has to be the coolest thing ever. I was going to buy a portable DVD Player. Forget that. i will wait till this sucka comes out.
But this is why I wondered: http://psp.ign.com/articles/513/513734p1.html Sorry, but I don't trust Sony much. The specs they talked up for the PS2 were way off, then they went on to release a system where its first production run was faulty as hell. I almost got my PS2 when it first came out, but had a hard time finding one. Now I'm glad I didn't; those were the systems that are pretty much garbage now. I love a lot of the games, I'll probably love this. But I'm not all that excited about it yet. At this point, I'd probably still get a portable DVD player for movies.
Not that my opinion matters, but I was thinking about this the other day when I was playing my PS2. Now from the video, it said the nex genereation of consoles would be basically super computers and IBM would help to produce them. With PS2 not as powerful as XBOX in graphics, would it be possible and even more feasible that a new console would be based completely differently such as: Dual Processor, Dual Disk Meaning, the games lag when a lot of stuff is happening, so take for instance a baseball game. Well, only so much can be put into the disk at once, comprimising other aspects. I love detail, so when fans are still 2D and 'glitches' like an inadvertant hand going through another player's body kind of irk me. How about building a system based on a dual processing idea, but also dual disk. Meaning that one disk would be the 'main' disk while the second is 'supplemental'. The second disk would have things that would enhance the abilities of the first. So, things such as rosters, stadium graphics, other details would go on a second while important game information would be on the first. The first could also run without the second but wouldn't have as great detail in the game. So is that idea stupid, pointless, or already considered years ago?
I wouldn't go so far as to call the DS the Virtual Boy 2.0. I think it will do pretty OK here in the States. But still, the portable, despite it being an interesting concept, seems gimmicky to me. PSP on the other hand.....wow. I really like the big screen and the image quality is extremely impressive. My only concern is the price.
Must... buy... new... GC... Zelda.... Can't.... wait... until... 2005... Check out the E3 Zelda footage!
Does the PSP video have that pool game with the different covered balls? That is our companies game...it is called Sticky Balls and is kind of like tetris and just as addictive. DD
