    Oh, hmn, here's another one.

Let's say the Rocket's wise up and tank (like only Rockets can!) for a top lottery pick this year. Who can we trade the pick to for a real player, a la Brand/Chandler? Once again...I'm thinking "genius" GM, Elgin Baylor, and that penny pinching fan of rookie contracts over vet maxes - the Donald. Now, the Donald has a lot of players on the cheap this year, but is looking at some hefty salaries on the quick. I don't care what pick we get, I'd rather go shopping, than pick this year.

And some other latenite idle speculation...

What about Vin Baker ? I wonder if his hands could catch. We certainly have enough salary trash for a team with a dumb gm that wants to rebuild with youth. We could make a package.

I think with Wink, Cat, & Grif, and bench support from Torres, KT & Norris, we have a pretty good stable of hard-working, caring, motivated talent at the smalls. Everyone else is expendable. The talents you need from your remaining starters and bench players should be to set picks and punch Karl Malone and step on his head and rebound and jam up the lane - blue-collar working stuff, with good hands for the occasional quick pass or mismatch, and good outlet and inbound skilz. Oh, and btw, EG at center is asinine, you dopes. He's a big small - that's great! Take the present - you just got a KG type if you're lucky - don't try to make him into Sabonis, silly.

    Enough tonight.

You know nugzfan, I'm going to give you a break for heckling me for the Clips talent lust and Cato-elimination obsession, tonight, because most of your posts are clever, to the point, and turn a phrase; but watch your back. You know, you are...a nugz fan.

So, pasox2, would you characterize Cato's defense as ProAm paso doble . . . an amateur matador ole! Certainly, he is not doing any new steps.

i can't believe none of you are not intersted in Brian Grant, but would rather have an underachieving Kandi-man (possible not NBA material in the first place) and Darius Miles whom we already have a better version of in Eddie Griffin.

with so much talk of needing rebounding and hustle in the post...i would think Brian Grant would be at the very least debatable even with his outragously long contract. Grant would make Cato's play not such a liability maybe even make him appear to be a better player than what he is....(sigh).

i know you wont believe this but i tried to edit my post soon after, and my connection died right there. got too lazy to re do it all over. then i went to vegas and just got back today. true story.

ANYWAYS...in regards to MOST trade ideas, they require nothing more than the old 'haha, yeah right' because they are usually not even close. im trying to save time :)
