No way. Luke Walton is a Middle Classes' Shane Battier. We need to sign Steve Blake (realistic) or use T-Mac's persuasive skills to get Billups over here (highly impossible).
This summer we need three things: 1) Get Mike Sweetney early. Dude can score, rebound and block a few shots. If we can get him early so that we have enough time to get him into shape, he could be a great investment. 2) Go after one of the many available backup PG's available this summer. I wouldn't be oppoded to getting Mike James as our backup PG. Foye and McCants are going to be the guys that team, James can be had. 3) Re-sign Tsakilidis. Great back up, I like what he brings. I don't care if we have to trade our pick to make these things happen.
I tired to come up with a rough estimate of time needed to get Sweetney back into shape. Basically I gathered up data on Bonzi this season based on how much weight he is losing every day. I then plotted the data using maple which kinda gave me a nice equation. I then used that equation to estimate the time needed to get Sweetney back in shape next season. I dont know if my Maple broke down or simply gave up but this is what popped up on the screen...
