I don't think Garnett is going to be putting up 20-12-5 on the Rockets. With Yao down there, I don't think he's getting 12 boards unless Yao is only getting 8-10.

Tracy McGrady is not just "an athletic swingman". When healthy, which he probably will be next season, he's the best swingman in the league. Who's better? Maybe LeBron James because he's younger but I would still have T-Mac.

What I don't understand is, why do you want to trade one of our stars for another star? It's stupid. We're left with the same problem: sh*tty role players. We get a great PF but we lose a great SF. We're still left with an "average" PG and a below average SG and then we have a USELESS SF. If we draft a PF, there is no need for T-Mac to go. If we draft a good SG, there is no need for T-Mac to go. If we draft a PG, there is no need for T-Mac to go. In fact, there is no need at all for T-Mac to go.

That is just from our point of view, this trade is no good for Minnesota either. They are looking to get guys like Jermaine O'Neal, Dwight Howard, etc. I doubt KG would want to come here anyways.

We'd have two lottery picks, though.

    Alston
    Lottery pick
    Lottery pick
    Garnett
    Yao

Considerable improvement. Maybe not right away with 2 rookies playing big minutes, but by the end of the season I think we'd be very pleased with the result.

    Well said, and great point.

PLEASE don't trade T-Mac for anybody. I go to games mainly to see Tracy and his awesome, incredible plays. Other than Kobe or Lebron, there's no one else like him. NEVER trade T-Mac.

I don't know about you, but I would rather the Rockets win than have them exhibit "exciting" plays.
We would also be getting a lottery pick. That can be used to upgrade our role players, and we would be getting one that is not some d-league prospect that nobody wanted or a 1,000 year old man. We would also not have our lack of role players at one of the hardest positions to fill (power forward) but rather at one of the easiest (swingman). That is why we would not have the same problem, we would have the new Twin Towers, and 2 lottery picks to find 2 swingmen. We would also finally have the long, rangy defender next to Yao that could help him defensively and on the boards.

A healthy McGrady > Garnett, Wade, Kobe, LeBron. He is the best player in the league, i do not want Houston to trade him, lets just draft Sheldon Williams if we can get him, find us some real shooters and build around Yao and Tmac.

I am against a T-Mac for Garnett trade, if it happened i would be steamed but i'd get over it because it is Kevin Garnett, But T-Mac deserves a second chance here--espeically if JVG is going to get one.

It's going to be a long summer.

Thankfully at some point it'll be over, T-Mac will be back and play great basketball, and all these impatient T-Mac traders will eat their due crow.

Rockets should keep TmaC AND hope he comes back stronger then ever. Also, Rockets should try to intice Peja to come over or try to aquire Rarshad Lewis from Seattle. For the first round draft pick, rockets should try to pick Sheldon Williams. I also read Sam I Am (Cassell) wasomewhere that nted to finish up his career where he started, if thats true he would be a great pick-up. Our front line would look really nice.

    Sam Cassell
    Rarshad Lewis or Tmac
    Tmac or Peja
    Swift or Howard or Williams
    Yao

Welcome to Clutchfans. Rashard Lewis is a small forward, not a shooting guard. Your potential roster should be:

    Sam Cassell
    T-Mac
    Rashard Lewis or Peja
    Swift or Howard or Williams
    Yao

Incidentally, alot of people here aren't crazy about the idea of moving T-Mac back to the two since he isn't crazy about the idea himself. Personally, I'd do it for either of those guys.

So, how many years are we going to be stuck with Juwan Howard as our PF? It would be in our best interest if he just retired.

The article is silly, written by a naif, it seems to me.

Indy will not swap Peja here. Chicago is poised to offer a straight deal as they under the cap. Or they'll re-sign him. But, why would they want Head in their crowded backcourt and where would they play Swift? Last I checked TMac is playing the 3, so where will Peja play?

Chances of Peja coming to Houston? 0-7%.

Wolves swap Garnett AND their Lotto for TMac('s back), Head and the 2nd? And that would sell exactly how big in Minnesota? KG and Yao in the same forecourt would diminish the total effect of the two.

Chances of KG coming to Houston? 0-7%

Chances of Rox KEEPING their own Lotto? 40-60%

The perfect 4 for the Rox? The overpaid but talented and well suited to play with Yao TMurph. And just maybe Juwann and the Lotto does it.

I dont think trading tmac is an option, if tmac was playing right now with yao in this kind of form, teams wouldnt know who to double, but we know the floor would be spread alot more and either yao or tmac would get easier buckets then if they were playing with out one another. The rockets do need a consistant 3 point shooter, as seen this season there has been no consistant shooter, the amount of times yao has passed out from a double tripple team to a player thats clanked a wide open shot has been unforgiveable, rockets may need a decent pf or a pg with abit more focus, but I think the missing pieces are consistant shooters that can make wide open shots.
