Which is impressive but that one singular performance betrays his season averages and efficiency. KPJ is still a big question mark at this point and this upcoming season should provide some answers.
Who was your favorite NBA player? It doesn't matter who your favorite players was, because I bet he didn't score 50 points at a younger age than K. P. jr did !!!! Just messing with you. You are a good sport. Keep on keeping on
Perhaps it would be worth fact checking before ranting? The answer to the question of youngest player is Brandon Jennings. Also younger than KPjr when scoring their first 50 point game were LeBron James Devin Booker. How's the mic drop?? I am extremely optimistic on KPjr, and think he is the most talented prospect on our roster. Truly hope both he and Green become all stars in the coming seasons. Hoping we make the play in this season on the back of strong play from Porter and Green. But facts are facts, sorry, KPjr was the 4th youngest to score 50.
Yeah. You're just wrong. Lottery picks are almost exclusively 1 and dones these days. I don't know who Chris Weinke is or what happens in the NFL. I also don't care. I hate football. But I know about what happens on NBA draft day. And age is very much a thing on NBA draft day. Again, just ask Davion Mitchell.
Except in order for him to have been eligible in this past draft he wouldn't have done that. He'd have been in college, overseas or in the G league having never played in the NBA. These are some weird ass mental gymnastics, bro.
Your words cut me, deep.....not really. I don't even know who you are. Don't care. You miss the point. Rockets are gonna go full pedal to the metal....and they gonna leave your weak *** by the curb. Drop your bags by the the side of the road. You can pick up your bags as you try to catch up
Yes sir, we all bored. We all crave some Rockets basketball, even if it's just pick up games or solo workouts
I was replying to JR’s original post where he had KPJ listed as a wing. Sorry if I replied to the wrong post.
I wanna know what are the players doing right now. They should be practising with the coaches. They need to get ready for the season by playing as a team before the preseason starts. Perhaps Nook can give us more information in a couple of weeks.
Not sure, but from what I'm seeing yesterday, all of our 22 year old players and older are all decrepit. Nevermind that Jason Terry played until he was 40 and Vince Carter played until the age of 43. Tom Brady is playing football in the NFL while over 40 years of age by eating right and taking care of himself with a strict workout regimen. Hopefully our over the hill 22+ year olds are taking their vitamins and going to sleep by 8:30 pm. and practicing their FT's and 3-pointers.......one handed of course. The other hand grasping their walker.
I do expect Silas to set goals off the bat, but I'm not entirely sold on him yet. I'm hopeful that Wood will emerge as a better overall player, and at least on offense. I think he and Theis will have good chemistry with each other. KPJ needs to feed Wood too, and I think he will do so.
Yes, Morey did not exactly leave Silas carbon copies of what Silas had in Dallas 19/20 season when the Mavs were uber efficient on offense. Morey left Silas a bunch of players that were undersized and couldn't defend the bigger players consistently. Pick-n-Roll was a big staple of the offense for Dallas: Mavs PnR "Ball Handlers" 19/20 Player..........freq...........ppp.........NBA percentile.. Doncic..........46.3%.........1.04.................89.4............ Brunson.......38.7%..........0.93.................72.0............ Seth Curry....23.2%..........1.03.................88.7............ Hardaway....19.0%...........0.96.................78.1........... JJ Barea......49.0%...........0.90.................65.9.......... J Jackson....6.9%.............0.89.................60.3......... Mavs PnR "Roll Men" 19/20 Player..........freq............ppp..........NBA percentile... Kleber...........25.7%..........1.45..................92.2.......... WCS.............45.3%...........1.41..................93.5......... D Powell......27.0%............1.35..................86.6........ Boban..........19.0%............1.23..................72.0....... Hardaway......2.1%.............1.27..................77.4...... Porzingis......15.6%............1.17..................65.4...... Now let's compare that to Rockets 20/21: Rockets PnR "Ball Handler" 20/21: Player..........freq...............ppp.........NBA percentile... E Gordon......29.9%.............1.10...................93.0............ Harden.........29.4%.............1.19...................97.3............ [Harden........17.9%.............0.98...................82.0........... 19/21 season] Olynyk...........4.1%...............0.94..................70.3.......... Augustin......44.3%..............1.03..................86.4.......... Porter jr........39.8%..............0.77..................30.1......... Wall..............36.7%...............0.81.................40.6.......... Rockets had the part of the PnR that facilitates (when playing or not traded); but I question the Roll-part of our PnR last season. Rockets PnR "Roll-Men" 20/21: Player..........freq.............ppp...........NBA percentile... KMjr.............11.3%............1.38....................90.3........... Tate..............7.1%.............1.30.....................84.0......... Nwaba..........4.6%.............1.33.....................86.0......... [Patton.........20.0%............1.40.....................93.2........13 gms] Olynyk...........13.7%............1.20....................67.6........ Wood............20.8%.............1.18....................64.7...... [Wood..........19.7%..............1.50....................95.4.....Det 19/20 season] Cousins........23.3%.............1.05....................37.8....... So if you look at our best, Nwaba/Tate/KMjr, their freq was 4.6% / 7.1% / 11.3%. Far cry from the Mavs freq in 19/20. Basically Silas was asked to make us Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches with no Jelly. When you do that.....it's just a peanut butter sandwich. Now Stone has provided some Jelly in the form of Theis, Sengun, and Garuba. I highlighted Wood with Detroit and Wood with Houston to show how the personnel around a player can make a difference. Guy like Drummond allowed Wood to concentrate on the offensive end while Drummond did the dirty work of rebounding and wrestling with the big centers. Now I expect Wood to do more on offense this season, now that the Rockets have Sengun and Theis. Theis last season as "Roll-Man" Player................freq...........ppp.............NBA percentile....... 20/21 Bos........33.1%........1.13......................51.7..............(42 gms) 20/21 Chi.........27.2%........1.07.......................41.6.............(23 gms) Here we see same Theis but different personnel and maybe systems as well. Theis in : 19/20...............27.5% freq.....1.17 ppp............65..9 NBA percentile 18/19...............26.8% freq.....1.30 ppp............86.1 NBA percentile So it's yet to be determined with the additions of Green, Josh C, Garuba, Sengun and if Porter, Wall can improve on their PnR game. But for those not the Ball Handler or the Roll-Man in our Pick-n-Roll......practice your 3-ball, free throws and get out of the way.
Right now I just want Jalen Green to strengthen that hamstring before going bonkers in the NBA. Last thing we need is a star that never plays.
