    Why not?

    I'm in!

I'll step on Crisco's side of the line. (If I understand this bet corrctly), I feel that Langhi will NOT be our starting or primary SF next season.

It could happen as you say and Crisco's side still lose the bet. Langhi may ride the pine for every game next year and Crisco's side still lose the bet.

HP, this is looking better and better for our side.

I return from my long abscence just in time to drop my two cents on this.

This whole bet of hp's seems to be based on his personal opinion that the SF position is the least important one, even more so with a zone. I suppose he believes that Rudy thinks in the same manner, and therefore, SIZE should be the main worry of our frontline. Makes sense, somehow. Start 3 big men up front and scrap the 3. That would mean that we'd need a beefed up frontline... specially since Hakeem is on his way out.

I think i have figured out Hp's thinking. But i don't agree with it.

Count me in Crisco. We will have a new SF either through the draft or a trade, and he will start ahead of Walt (if he's still here) and Airball Langhi.

    Let the game begin!

What do we get out of the deal? guard, power forward, center, or a small forward. Tell me what we will get back.

I am up for some BBALL. Get the game setup!

I think we will get a new starting PF and SF. I will go under Crisco's side though.

Just another 'if' that's possible (not probable :p).

btw, 'heypartner' is a bridge site name. You should know that though old boy. Or are you so far gone that you've been put in the hand & foot corner?

I realize I am not risking anything because I am new here although I plan to post my ass off in the future. But, I think I know Rudy; Walt will start and Langhi has earned the back up spot and, anybody in this draft will see only mop up minutes till Christmas and only play after that if he has proven he can contribute to a playoff run. I don't want to start a rant here but why do all the disparaging remarks about Langhi start with lanky WHITE boy? The man can hoop, period. He proved it in the SEC and showed flashes albeit brief flashes last year. He can slash , he can shoot and he can play zone.

I knew the bridge part, it is the "hand and foot" part that throws me.

    Me? Not Cool?

    Ok,

The Rockets will NOT have a SF, they will address our Big needs first.

Walt, Langhi will not have anyone in front of them this year.

    hehe

Achebe, notice Gene Peterson said Langhi can play zone. What were you saying about we need tall shooters to beat a zone??

poor, poor fools (didn't quite consider all the little basketball intangibles did we)

But a newbie with a great name comes in and makes the best case for my side, so far. The only thing he forget was how Rudy and CD always talk up who they are not going to pick...like Radman, JJ, Gasol....hehe....all quiet on the PF/C front.

btw: Gene, are you in the bet. I put you in because that certainly is a name worth keeping. See if you can keep your promise about using it this summer, alrightie then.

    DaDakota,

    Is that a bet, then?

You know you need a new name anyhow. DA and Dakota were great, but as a friend, I have to tell you that you have to move on with your life.

I'm sure you will like FidoFever just as much. [IMG]

    Hey, heypardoner!

Gotcha on a technicality! MoT is a free agent. Therefore, he will be a new Rocket if he is ahead of Langhi on the depth chart come October.

PineTree says your deal has loopholes. Did I just fine....oops...find one?

P-L-E-A-S-E let me back in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll join your side.

Then pledge allegiance to either Crisco or me. I don't even know what side you are on.

We'll see, but I would have to say that would be painful... There really is no way anyone that is not a present Rocket starts the first game of the season at SF

Yes, I have even fewer posts than Gene Peterson, but I do have a Langhi-derived (at least to some degree) nickname that I'm willing to risk.

Count me in on HP's side (if that's OK).
