WHY HP's SIDE WILL LOSE: I dont think the Rockets will be able to move up to get a center that they WANT. And if they have the ability to move up, they probably wont, because the cost would be too great. HOWEVER, I believe they do have the ability to move up and nab a good sf in the draft. Maybe Battier, Joe Johnson, Radman, or Gasol. Or you never know, Rockets might pull the trigger on a trade to get Croshere, KVH, or ???. Any one of those guys would supplant langhi on the depth chart. Some people have argued "we wont get a sf cuz of the 3 guard lineup". BS. Rudy could find a way to throw a badass new sf into the mix. I mean, hell, he had Walt playing pf quite a few times. WALT FREAKING WILLIAMS. Another point argued by the heypissers: langhi has seniority, so he will be ahead of the new sf. Gimme a break. If the Rocks get one of the sfs I think that they can get, they wont let him rot behind langhi. oH, BUT the rockets need a center, wah wah wah. Yeah, they need one, but there aint that much to pick from in this draft outside of highschoolers(who are NOT ready to start yet) and they are going at the VERY top of the draft. Will the Rocks sacrifice much to move up and get stick boy Woods? Probly not. SO they will get a probable roleplayer that has potential and can make an impact now, like maybe Ken Johnson, LATer in the draft. If i were the rocks i would pick up a possible star sf over a marginal center with about as much potential as centers later in the 1st round. BAH, just thinking of passing on a stud sf just to get get someone like Woods ... icky. HOWEVER ... if the Rockets DO pull the trigger to get one of the higher freaking picks and do Get a young center stud TBA, just dont see it happening, despite what rumors may be floating around) then so be it, i dont mind losing my moniker. Good reasoning Crisco, here are mine: 1) The Webber factor-I still believe the rockets are going full force to get CWebb and in the process of doing so (trades etc) will ultimately end up with a new young 3 and CWebb, not a 4/5 and CWebb. 2) I don't think Dream is 100% gone yet. 3) Worst case scenario, all the 3's are gone and the rocks take a low pick on TMo-I think T Mo will play before D Lang. I'm going with Oeilpere's answer to one of my posts: I say we'll grab Woods and Morris 'cause they're 4-year guys, have done well in workouts, and, in my opinion, will (pleasantly) surprise at the next level. Ojopadre/Olhopae/Otou-san-no-meh/Oeilpere/Popeye said Woods at #13, Morris at #23 and the #18 traded away would be ideal. If we move up, we could get Diop. So that still says we address the center issue first. So I guess I'll take HP's side on this one but not because I believe the 3 is an unimportant spot but, rather, Morris can help platoon that spot. ------------------

Hardhead. I'm scratching my head while trying to figure out a certain big man in the draft that would have an immediate impact for us but im sure the Rockets have it all planned out. But it doesn't matter. What matter is that Rudy loves to run the three guard line-up(I dont like it though). Add that to fact that the Rockets are loaded at the small foward position. Also you need to take into consideration Rudy's fairness and loyalty to talented rookies who patiently pay their dues by watching and learning on the bench. When I take all these things into consideration I become positively assure that Rudy has not a smidgen of desire for a new starting small forward.
