Some of you act like a player can just sit there and think about what he's going to do. It's a fast game, he doesn't have time to sit there and think. He looked like he tried to block it to me. He's a very athletic player so he probably though he could make a play on the ball. He failed, it happens.
Well everyone is entitled to their opinion and I disagree with you 100%. It was a 28 point game at the time and clearly a frustration foul. He probably was not intending to injure Rudy, but it was definitely something more than just a hard foul. Definitely uncalled for.
Seriously guys. I know it's the Lakers and we don't really care for them, but did you really think Ariza was trying to harm Fernandez? I'm not sure about the way league rules in terms of intent vs. causality. So I can't really say whether Ariza should get a suspension or not. But he definitely tried to just foul Fernandez in a normal way. Nothing in his action suggest trying to harm. I mean, if you go by causality to determine punishment, does this mean that if a player steps lands on your foot, landed awkwardly, goes out for 10 weeks, that you deserve a suspension?
