It's said that Oden might get Lisfranc (Midfoot) Fracture, not look good.... Poor guy.

Say what? Bynum runs the floor much better than Yao. Not even close. Tonight, Oden huffed and puffed up and down the floor like a 50 year-old. He looked terrible. Even if his foot injury isn't serious and he only misses a few games, it will significantly set him back in getting in shape. He is nowhere near basketball shape.

Just saw your post tsunami. Wow! We may be talking about Sam Bowie II.

he was hobbling cause he hurt his foot. to me its not a fair assessment of Oden. Just like it's not a fair assessment of Yao when he fell down after getting cross-overed by Marbury

i really hope its nothing serious i want to see this kid play and do well (cept when he plays the rockets)

portland has a lot of talent just need to find how to work it all together. their offense was all out of sync tonight, the lakers played much better D though. but the blazers missed a lot of open shots.

i thought they would go with bayless starting over blake but i guess i was wrong i figure bayless will earn the spot by mid season

I hope it's not serious. An inconclusive X-ray of his foot sounds bad. An MRI will be done to determine his injury status.
    I want Oden to succeed.

give the guy a break. he was hobbling because he had a sprained ankle. if it was yao he would be out for the year.

also im laughing at u guys who say oden is slow when yao is possibly the slowest man in the world.

i've waited this game and rooted for Oden to lead the blazers over the lakers.. But it turned out badly for him in his debut. Expecting too much from him in his 1st game

NBA.com's recap said X-rays were negative and the injury was diagnosed as a sprain. Oden will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.

Hope that the MRI turn out negative as well and it is not something much more more serious.

Wow, Oden is officially the most fragile player in the whole history of the NBA.

Greg Oden will be a beast, and have a fantastic career.........

How some of you guys can't see the talent in this 20 year old coming off surgery is beyond me. It will be his league some day..........

Yao will own this 45 years old Greg Oden. Oden is going to be the biggest overrated bust in the history of the NBA.

You may be right, but I just don't see it....quickness and explosiveness are vital in the NBA, unless you are super tall...ala Ming...

And Oden is not that quick, not that explosive, and has no offensive game to speak of....

But, you are right he is only 20...so he still could become something....I just don't see it.

How many offensively challenged players who "will be the next big thing when they get better at offense" have we had in the NBA? How many of them have actually become superstars?

Are you saying Dwight Howard has a jump shot?
