Anybody watch Barkley talk about Oden?

He was right: Oden has done nothing but dunk after dunk, in terms of his offensive game.

Oden needs to pull a Dwight Howard (like, NOW), and start working on his jumpshot, hook shot, etc.

Bynum looks better, quickness is king in the NBA...Oden is slow.

I don't think you can put a verdict out on either guy to early, maybe except Bynum...because he has been in the league a minute.

I would say give Oden, at least 2 to 3 seasons to see if he turns out into decent center.

While, Bynum maybe 1 or 2, because he again has been pro for 3 years.

Agree. He looks the same as he did in college. Blows my mind people were expecting offense this early. Aldridge is a 22/10 guy waiting to happen. Feed him the ball let Oden deal with scraps.

WTF, Oden will take X Rays exam just after two quarters? What a fragile 40 year old....

Please tell me you're kidding me. When you have a 7 footer who can do this, you take him.

Bynum is good. Not Yao/Howard good. But very good. You must have missed last season.

And you must not remember that Amare had the same surgery, only more invasive.

He is just not that much of a quick leaper, he looks slow as compared to other more talented bigs.

    Reminds me of Sam Bowie.

Hopefully at least better than Bowie. Yao lacks quickness and athletism as well, but Yao has way better fundamentals and skills than Oden.

You guys are being way harsh on Oden. It's his first NBA game and he was not 100% and suffered another injury. No big man comes into the league and plays well let alone dominates from day 1.

Yao might not be as quick or athletic as Bynum or Oden, but he is much much more fluid than either one of them. Just look at the way the runs down the court compared to either Bynum or Oden. You can also see it by way Yao shoots also.
