He's a restricted free agent this offseason (if there is a qualifying offer). This should help with negotiations for the Rockets. He is destined to be Yao's successor.

Another micro fracture surgery??? I thought he was sitting out right now while recovering from a surgery from last year. Why another surgery? Did he re-injure himself?

He's done and will forever be remembered for his penis photos.

...and being picked instead of Durant.

Wow... so that means will have played in only 82 games out of a possible 328 career games (25%) by the end of this season. What a bust!

Blazers center Greg Oden will undergo microfracture surgery on his left knee Friday and will miss the remainder of the 2010-11 season

A recent MRI showed damaged cartilage to the surface of Greg Oden's femur, and his current injury is unrelated to the fractured left patella

Oden has been sidelined since fracturing his left patella in a Dec. 5 vs. Hou. Dr. Richard Steadman will perform the surgery in Vail, Colo.

This guy sure is consistent. I'd say he's better to have on your team than Yao, because at least you know that there is going to be a season-ending injury EVERY SINGLE YEAR, within the first 10 games of the season.

Whereas for Yao it just happens whenever.

So would this be his second microfracture surgery? If so, on the same knee or other knee? Has that ever happened before?
