Man good thing I didn't draft him or traded for him. I had a deal on the table that would of gotten me Oden and Beasley for Noah, but I thought the better of it even though imo Beasley will become a beast on the T Wolves I needed all the big man I can draft.

We may be witnessing the new standard for injured players. It's just one thing after another.

I have to completely disagree with you here.

Oden had a history of injury prior of being drafted 1st overall in 07. Cousins on the other hand has never really had weight related injuries, and his not even as heavy as he used to be! (he reported 270 to camp, which is much better than the 290+ he was back in kentucky)

Plus have you seen Cousins play, the guy is so freaking agile. He reminds more of Pau Gasol, in terms of movement, than Oden or any other past ''post heavy player''.

What does agility have to do with less stress? If anything, I bet agility would add stress to the tendons and ligaments.

Yao, Curry, Darko, and Bynum were healthy before they came to the NBA also. There is increased stress on an 82 game schedule.

Here is the last survey that I could find on player weights.

    http://www.nba.com/news/survey_weight_2007.html

If you look at the top 10 heaviest players, Shaq is the only 7 fter in that list that can play 80+ games in 2-3 seasoy(before he got old).

Fesenko is an unknown, because he has been given limited playtime.

    I don't know the inju

It looks like if you are a center and Portland drafts you in the 1st round you better have some serious health insurance.

    Bill Walton

    Sam Bowie

    Greg Oden

Cousins' health depends on his weight, if he keeps being overweight he'll also start having leg problems. The one thing he has in his favor is Cousins isn't explosive and doesn't dunk or jump a lot. This means less stress on his joints over time.

Bowie over Jordan. Oden over Durant.
