I personally wanted Portland to pick up Durant, but what's already been done has been done. Oden just needs to get what Kobe had done, maybe that'll help. Lucky that clot in his knee didn't reach his heart or that'd be very tragic. Anyways best of luck to the Trailblazers, maybe they'll keep moving in a postive direction with or without Oden.
there was a red flag from the Blazers over oden before the draft. with that being said, they knew injury was coming. they just took a gamble. and when i have the #1 pick i'll go for the sure thing.
JaVale McGee currently averages 10.9ppg 8.8rpg and 3.0bpg in just 28 minutes. Ok - he has nothing offensively, but lets be honest Oden has very little offensively either. JaVale McGee shouldn't be a number 1 pick, ESPECIALLY if there's a Kevin Durant in the draft. In fantasy basketball both McGee and Oden (when he was fit) put up nice numbers, but in real basketball neither is anything like a 'franchise player'. Whole bunch of myopia going on here if people think that Oden could ever be a better player than Durant (even if never injured). Oden was a bit overhyped before the draft because he was pretty quick up and down the floor and had one amazing play.
What the hell did Oden ever prove in the NBA that warrantEd the #1 pick? Even at his very best he had horrible foot work, spacing, offensive touch and was so foul prone he couldn't play heavy minutes.
Judging by the Trailblazer's track record, they will offer Oden a 4 year 30 million contract once his current one ends.
Hey I remember you. Your that guy that found humor in the fact that Lorenzen Wright was missing a couple years back. Stay classy buddy!
Moneyball fails because they forget to account for players who tend to have career ending injuries! Boo-urns Morey.
Oden was a good center when he was healthy, but he didn't show anything to prove that he was worthy of a No.1 pick and be picked over Kevin Durant. Don't kid yourself.
That's BS. There is no way, none, zero, that the Blazers pass on Durant if they could get a mulligan. The fact that they burned a number one overall on a big man with one leg shorter than the other will go down as one the biggest f ups in NBA draft history.
He needs to have another knee surgery but isn't healthy enough. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...enough-knee-surgery-232359862.html#more-14672 Time to retire and move on from the NBA.
