I'd rather see Yao get the MVP because in so doing, TMac doesn't need to score 28ppg. It would add years to TMac's career if he isn't the #1 option.

But I agree having them both on the same team hurts their chances that either one will shine enough to eclipse the media attention of Wade, Lebron or Kobe.

I agree with the earlier poster that cited Health as a major factor.

If T-Mac isnt on the floor, he cant win an MVP. And I think T-Mac needs to be on the floor for Yao to dominate fully.

Is there any news on the health of TMacs back? Most back problems are chronic, its what forced Bird to retire. I really hope McGrady can stay injury free this year, our playoffs hopes and dreams depend on his health.

You cannot say 100% for any player of the league ( lebron probably the closest to that).I think T-Mac has at least a fair chance of being the MVP.I'm sure he will come back strong, and he will play the best basketball of his life next season. He worked very hard last summer to improve his strength,he could've played much better than he did,but the curse that was on the Rockets last season didn't let him stay healthly. He failed to the expectations, after last years promise after the loss in the 1st round that we will be back strong. He is a true superstar and a leader, next year he would be eager to show people who the Houston Rockets are, just immagine with how much fire, passion and desire he will play, and combine that with a new, much better Yao,and you'll get the best 1-2 punch in the league for a while. There is absolutely nobody who can stop T-Mac when he's on fire, and he will be on fire all next season.I give him a 70% chance of being MVP,his tremendous skill level combined with a ferocious heart and aggressiveness will make him the best player in the NBA.I believe in you T-Mac!!!!

theyll have a good season, possibly a great one...but their only two players...so i voted 30%, it may be a little to high but i think they have a good chance...remind you that they still have to go up against kobe, nash, duncan, garnett, wade, lebron, bosh, dirk, brand, kidd and carter, so its gonna be hard, not impossible but hard...

I think that T-Mac deserves to win it this year but it all counts on what our overall record is.

I'm disappointed. There was no 200% option for CO-MVP.

If one of them -- or both -- is traded to the New York Knicks, I would say 100% chance.

Yao seems more likely to win the MVP, if he continues his yearly growth, it wont be long before he becomes the national favorite. TMac is phenomenal down the stretch, we have all been privy to some amazing performances when he absolutely takes the whole game into his hands and dominates. Problem is, just as chicks dig the long ball, voters dig a fat stat sheet, and when Yao is around and the offense is flowing through him, it just isn't as easy putting up the same type of numbers.
