He isn't a good #1, but he'd be miles ahead of Jacoby Jones for the #2 WR spot. Imagine what Andre could do with a legit WR lined up next to him. But definitely Cromartie.
He's not good when compared to the likes of Andre, Larry, Calvin, Roddy, etc. But, when you're comparing him to Jacoby Jones, Kevin Walter, and any other number 2/3 in the league, he's leaps and bounds better. 85 might not be what he used to, but he's still got game, and I'm willing to bet he's got a lot left in the tank on a playoff contender. And Antonio Cromartie on this team?? Hell. Yes.
Yeah I think having Ochocinco here next to Andre would be a huge upgrade...that safety wouldn't be able to just sit on Dre's side of the ball the whole game for fear of 85 breaking one deep. Like everyone's said he's not an elite #1 WR but an elite #2 especially when your main guy is Andre Johnson

If he wants to play. His head was clearly on other things pretty much all season in 2010. I know TO stole the show, but Ocho was letting himself be taken out of games...half-assing it out there most of the time. If 85 wants to play and understands his roll as the #2 to AJ...then hell yeah the Texans should sign him. He would be by far better than JJ or KW and bring some attention to the Texans. That said, Cromartie should be the priority if the Texans would seriously do this. An interception machine that knows the system? Uh...yes, please.
Are either of them free agents, or would we have to trade? I don't know the logistics here and I need to know them before getting excited about anything. Nice to hear, at the very least.
They are both FA's. Cromartie has 20 kids with 21 different women, so obviously McNair won't sign him.
I believe Wade coached Cromartie before in San Diego. The only way we sign him is if Phillips uses some serious pull
