You won't hear me arguing in favor of the drug war, I have a long and storied history on this board of smacking down arguments in favor of that program. However, they were giving you credit when they posted the apples vs. oranges image above, I am of the opinion that you are trying to compare apples and submarines, but that's just me. Taxes have existed for all of human history. There is an extremely old saying that says that only two things in life are inevitable, those being death and taxes. Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society, you do have freedom to move to a place where your tax burden isn't so high, but I suspect that you wouldn't actually want to live in any of those places.
