I'm not gonna go back and re-watch the TT games, because it was ugly bball. I do remember every team we played during the TT reign, had a stretch 4 that pulled out Howard, making him completely useless on defense.

I don't think that's the way with him at all! I seriously think he's trying to win and he felt the game slipping

People like me? F'n internet morons. You don't know me bro, I am not a child like you, and I don't get emotional over losses or even basketball. I watch these games for entertainment. These are grown men making millions, given everything a person can want. They have much better lives than you will ever imagine. Their successes and failures do not impact me. My comments and yours, will not impact them. For you to be accusatory and assume you know me, is a window into how dumb you are. For your own sake, you need to reflect on yourself, and realize this is a big world, and this forum doesn't effect your life. Stop f'n parading around like an internet tough guy who thinks he knows what's up. You clearly don't.

I actually believe that the Rocket's trust issues do merit their own thread. It's very clear to see with anybody with unbiased eyes. I don't care if our starting point guard was Allan leavell(don't know if I spelled that right, old schoolers know who I'm talking about lol) you have to trust each and every member of your starting unit or you have nothing. And it's not just Lin,it's Howard and DMO getting ignored in the post when they seal a man etc. It speaks to the culture and the coaching of the ball club. Good news is we have a lot of games to do something about this. My question is does McHale have a strong enough personality to correct our chemistry issues?

I have ZERO problems with Terrence Jones grabbing the rebound and heading up the court with the ball pushing the pace.

In case people haven't realised - much like last year - the Rockets play their best basketball this year by running the break.

I don't need to see Jones pass it off to Lin/someone else so they can walk the ball up the court.

    LULZ. No we don't.

Half the season is over already.

Problems from the first week of the season are still very, very evident in this team.

Back then people were saying we have plenty of games to do something about it. Guess what......... I've got some bad news for you.

So McHale countered Ibaka's presence in the lane by going small with Parsons or Casspi but that wasn't a good enough adjustment. What else could McHale have done though?

I don't know if that in itself is a problem..... It wasn't like the starting point guard was open for anything. This team sets so few screens, it's probably the correct decision. Without screens, self-finishing plays are the rule of the day, whether it's Jones, Harden, Parsons, or even Lin.

I will say this, this problem was somehow absent when Kelvin Sampson was absent..... Coincidence? I'd hate to speculate.

Maybe because we don't really do "sets". Our half-court offense has the organization of a pickup game.

Granted.... I thought this team played with a lot less "fear" (especially Lin) when Sampson was absent..... We ran plays that were outside the box.... Harden was passing to Lin............

I think Thunder coach Scott Brooks has the Rox offense pegged like no other coach in the league (although Pops and maybe Doc Rivers would get there in a playoff series). The reasons why the Thunder was able to stop the three ball was we weren't really springing shooters open with screens, but catching the defense a step slow. The Thunder fixed that during halftime.

DMo I suspect has a midrange game that could be devastating. Based on how he willfully shoots the three ball, he probably has a deadly 18-footer. He could be a pick-and-roll monster in a proper offense. But unfortunately, we might only see this when DMo is on another team. (Jeremy Lin also has a nice midrange game that's been muzzled.)

Uhh, maybe sub out Brooks at the beginning of the 4th?

Lets look at Brook's game log, after he was subbed in, 78-68 Rockets

Aaron Brooks bad pass (Kendrick Perkins steals)
Aaron Brooks misses 25-foot three point jumper
Aaron Brooks misses 24-foot three point jumper
    Aaron Brooks offensive rebound
Aaron Brooks misses 26-foot three point jumper
Aaron Brooks bad pass (Reggie Jackson steals)

Brooks subs out with 4:11 on the clock, 97-89 Thunder

Granted the rest of the Rockets didn't fare much better, but at least you would keep the worst defender on the Rockets off the court for significant minutes.

Brooks played for 12 mins in the first half, where he was great. The 12 mins in the 2nd half was an abortion.

I like Brooks, and he's effective in short stints, 10-15 mins a game max. 24 mins is just too much for him.

Everyone was terrible in the 2nd half. There is no value in singling AB out.

When Beverly gets back hopefully they throw Lin at the end of that bench. Hard to play 4 on 5 basketball. I don't blame Harden for not passing to Lin. I trust Lin as much as I trust a known sex offender to watch my children.

You realize Lin's the only Rocket not named Harden or Howard who had 30+p games this season? (2, to be exact) And that he set the record at Philly's Wells Fargo Center for the most 3's made in a game? And BOTH his FG% and 3P% are higher than Harden's?

NOT saying Lin's great at all, but you either didn't watch the games or simply have a "trust" issue. :p

    totally agree, especially point 2

Cannot let Ibaka camp in the lane, especially with Perkins there as well. Did we not learn this from the playoffs last year? Our small ball line up really made Ibaka struggle.

And it's so frustrating to see D'Mo being used as a perimeter player on offense. WTF, feed him in the post.

Where is the thread for observations that your dad should have pulled out?
