take this for what it's worth... a buddy of mine and his kids ran into O'Brien the other day. They started talking (the little kids are UT fans) for a while, and the kids brought up how they don't want the texans taking Manziel. OB said something along the lines of: "don't worry...we're not taking him" Not trying to stir anything up among A&M fans, just thought it was worth mentioning.
Also... It didn't happen. If the head coach is stupid enough to reveal his draft plans to children he should be fired immediately.
I'm a U of H fan. I hope that we don't draft Manziel, but I refuse to encourage this level of reporting!
i said take it for what its worth. OB couldve just been "being nice" in front of the kids. i don't know. but to say or effectuate that I'm lying about the actual conversation taking place is a joke. i dont care enough to post a lie on a forum. i simply figured that others would like to know.
and if y'all really want specifics, they were at the Houstonian, OB just finished working out. but some CF posters have deemed that I'm lying with some unknown motive
Who knows? I remember people killing AllenOU when he "reported" that Dwight Howard was looking to buy a house in Houston a few weeks before he signed here and he turned out to be right. You could end up being right as well.
That story was proven false. Even if we do not draft Manziel #1 (odds are that we will not) this guy is still repeating something that isn't true. Do you really think a coach would tell a stranger of any variety his draft strategy?
I'm an Aggie fan and I couldn't care less about how Manziel does in the NFL. He can play safety like he was going to at Texas for all I care. Unless we draft him. If we draft him I hope he's good.
everybody on this board has a right to be skeptical. I'm not saying the texans definitively will or will not draft johnny. I'm just repeating a story that happened to my friend. You can believe the story or not. Maybe OB was just saying that so as to not get into an argument with 2 little kids. But the conversation DID occur. To say that I'm lying about that is flat-out wrong.
