Sad day. I really liked what Gates had to say about the whole thing, but it's obvious that Balmer is an ass. He should have just kept his mouth shut... I'm really at a loss of what to say. I've never been the biggest fan of him or apple, but the guy is *****ing amazing. At the end of the day, no matter what side of the line you stand on, we all can agree that the world lost a great innovator today. Whether he is or isn't at the level of a man like an Edison, he did a lot of good. My prayers go out to his family.
His statement was just so cold and short. Literally you could have put anyone's name in and it would have worked. In general, I don't like the guy, I'll gladly admit my bias. I really just felt like if your gonna put out a generic and flat statement like that, you might as well say nothing at all.
I can't go for the Einstein and Edison comparisons but I can see him as our generation's Walt Disney. Excellent inventor and businessman. You'll be missed, Steve. RIP.
It's better he said something than nothing. I'm pretty sure you'll get your more elegant eulogy from him at another time when he is ask about Steve Jobs.
A college dropout who had a rare imagination, and the equally rare ability to take his ideas and create things that people found they desired and enjoyed using. A billionaire who was the walking incarnation of the American Dream... that with imagination and drive, you can do anything. Steve Jobs made it look easy.
For sure. Its no surprise megalomaniacs like Bill Gates and Google founders fund things like the "Singularity Institute", they want to power and propel their egos with anything available under the sun lol
This will always the best Apple product for me forever. Thank you Jobs the fun and knowledge you brought me in those wonderful years. RIP.
for making load runner, karateka ... possible and all the scoldings that I "wasted" too much time on this thing
Wow. Some real jackassery in some really inappropriate context here. "Stay hungry. Stay Foolish." RIP, and most importantly, thank you.
