I second that notion. He's pretty much going Westboro on this thread. Dude died of cancer and this guy is wondering why people are showing compassion.

if he doesn't know why people cry for others, then he's got some major issues.

    it's called being human dumbass.

A lot of people cried on 9/11. I never met any of those in person.

Que En Paz Descanse el Señor Steve Jobs. :(

I am not "praying" or "crying", but respect is given where respect is due.

    RIP Steve Jobs.

You turned geekdom tech into consumerist fashion, the ultimate marketing ploy.

Your **** is still overpriced, but your iCasket will be the sleeeeek.

    http://www.theonion.com/articles/last-american-who-knew-what-the-****-he-was-doing,26268/

CUPERTINO, CA—Steve Jobs, the visionary co-founder of Apple Computers and the only American in the country who had any clue what the **** he was doing, died Wednesday at the age of 56. "We haven't just lost a great innovator, leader, and businessman, we've literally lost the only person in this country who actually had his **** together and knew what the hell was going on," a statement from President Barack Obama read in part, adding that Jobs will be remembered both for the life-changing products he created and for the fact that he was able to sit down, think clearly, and execute his ideas—attributes he shared with no other U.S. citizen. "This is a dark time for our country, because the reality is none of the 300 million or so Americans who remain can actually get anything done or make things happen. Those days are over." Obama added that if anyone could fill the void left by Jobs it would probably be himself, but said that at this point he honestly doesn’t have the slightest notion what he’s doing anymore.

Again, that is far more personal.

Don't make me out to be insensitive. I am very sensitive and a very caring person. I just don't understand placing him in place next to Einstein nor do i understand what the big deal is for discussing that on an internet forum. His family or close friends will never see this thread. People have taken offense to the things i have said as if i am speaking poorly of him at his funeral or wake that you are a part of.

I understand shedding tears for a story about a young girl being kidnapped and raped somewhere in russia or somewhere you have never been. Been there, done that. But, to those that shed tears over Steve Jobs is just way too much. He lived an awesome life in what was it? 56 years? A better life than any of us will ever have in 100 years. Shed tears for all those innocent people being murdered or raped out there you read in the newspaper.

"If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan". But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!"

Before he gets banned, get his IP address so he doesn't re-register. Thanks.

RIP Steve, America can't stand to lose more like you. :(

Yeah. Being banned for having a difference in opinion and standing up for it. I'm sure that is a perfect reason to be banned. Not the others for having nothing to say other than telling me to kill myself or calling me an idiot. No sir! Ban him for not thinking like we do!

He will be replaced in his field. But, not in his family. I can't imagine being his close family or friends. Heartbreaking to think of that, so i'd rather not.

It's a beautiful day outside in Houston. Hope everyone enjoys it instead of having Steve Jobs death ruin your chances at having smile on your face. Life goes on.

Perish the thought, but a bit of advice for maximus.

Don't visit this board the tragic day that Olajuwon passes away.

you are saying we shouldn't shed a tear cause you think he lived a privileged life?

there weren't any rich privileged people who died on 9/11?

Awesome life? Battling cancer is awesome? being given up for adoption is awesome?

Whatever success he did he made for himself, that goes for anything business, sports, and personal life.

If you don't understand why people cry for another human being that they didn't know, then you need to do more than go on a bbs and criticize people that do.
