I seriously doubt that they are many Hillary supporters who would vote for McCain because Obama chose another woman. I think this far fetched. My wife was a Hillary alternate to the State Convention and we know quite a few Hillary supporters. None of them are thinking of voting for McCain regardless of who Obama or McCain choose for VP.
I know some Hillary supporters who are angry and won't vote for Obama (allegedly) but none who are saying they are going to vote for McCain anymore.
Let's lay off the bet. Reading the D&D without Trader_Jorge or Sam Fisher for six months would be a bore. It's too bad there is no degree where the bet would be for them to post in a more...subdued...manner. BTW, The Cat et al, if Obama wins the election Hillary's presidential aspirations are done. I still believe she is on the surface supporting Barack but desperately trying clandestinely to undercut his campaign because, if Obama loses, IMO she believes she will have total control of the party in 2012 and would be facing a weak President.
Even accepting the premise that some Hillary voters will vote McCain, there would not be enough to change the vote by a decimal point. This whole fear is a red herring.
That is based on your assumption, often stated, thatHillary cares only about being president and not about any policy positions. This past election must show her that nothing is a sure thing. With the mess Bush and the conservatives have left this country, it would not be surprising to see folks thrash around and change Congress in 2010 and then turn around and defeat the incumbent president in 2012 based on him not changing things when he has no working majority in Congress! McSame will start another war or escalate the ones we already have. He will be like Bush's third lame duck term. I can't see any proposal that he has made that is different from a Bush third term. I suppose he is not denying global warming sort of. No second term for McSame. Obama if elected will be in a fix as people will expect him to change a lot and so far he has proven to be fairly timid in his policy positions. Timidity won't cut it with the problems we have. Hopefully this timidity is just a play to the swing voters, who by deifintion are fairly content with the status quo. Obama get a second term if he can make some real changes that people can feel.
In the end, IMO, Hillary cares for nothing except more money and more power (two faces of the same thing).
Love it. McCain needs LIEberman though. Who else will correct him on his daily mess-ups in front of the press?
Hey, LIEberman wouldn't surprise me as a McCain pick. It would be a "surprise." That's for sure... just not to me. Impeach Bush/Cheney.
