    I was just curious.

What if it's McCain?? That's who I THINK it will ultimately be.

It's funny that you have such a big issue with Obama because of his comments on his dad and such but think Nixon and his criminal behavior was awesome.

my understanding is that Nixon is treated VERY favorably in the history books in China.

Nixon is probably one of the 10 worst presidents in history...the failure of public trust he engendered in the position took a long time to recover from. Good thing Bush is resurrecting his legacy.

Makes sense - his relations with China were definitely one of the huge positives in his administration.

I'm not sure what kind of response this thread was trying to illicit, because it doesn't seem like some people are satisfied.

    Funny? Not really.

Obama's comments on his dad are part of the pattern he has displayed that he is willing to mislead the public in order to garner sympathy because of his (and father's) "humble" background. There are many more inconvenient conflicts, discrepancies, and very questionable "non-issues" concerning this guy that I have no confidence about. For a man that advocates high ethical standards in politics, and the hope, change, and all the promising rhetorics, he simply rings hollow.

Nixon had a long list of accomplishments that have profound and positive impact on this nation and the world, whether his detractors want to admit. That's not something Obama can even dream of. Unfortunately Nixon overplayed politics in his battles against his foes, and thought he could get away with. No man is without blemish, but the whole Watergate hoopla is overblown.

I shall add that yes, Nixon did say "I'm not a crook." But he didn't build his campaign around his character and phoney personal record. Obama does, and I am here to nail him.

Yes, it is the rare morning where my first waking thought is not one of pure gratitude that wnes is on this case, with intensity and fervor, posting articles from other sources on an internet BBS.

Please, wnes, do not stop. Let me sleep well oh these many months.

Wow, basso, there is a new BEAST from the EAST as far as being the BBS public opinion mover and shaker.

Your posting efforts were critical in building support for the flagging war effort at the grassroots level, and for helping support the troops, but have you exhausted yourself?

Can you remain dominant in the face of this new rising superpower?

Only time will tell if the Dragon or the Eagle reigns supreme!

Actually, if it wasn't for his obvious paranoia that led to his involvement in tapping the Dem's, he would be considered historically as a great President. Thats why even President Clinton gave tribute to Nixon. A President's legacy is never established while they are still in office. Slowly, more and more people are looking at Nixon as a good President who made a horrible mistake in judgement. Remember, even the Great President Lincoln was wildly UNpopular in the Northern states, and barely won reelection (without the South voting at all). Actually, you can compare Lincoln's popularity in the North to Bush's popularity now. They are very similar in how the public perceived them and in the decisions they made.

wnes, I stand in arms with you in this cause, my friend.

    B. Hussein Ubama is a well spoken half black guy. That's it. I can't believe people think he's even remotely qualified to be in the race for the most powerful position on the planet.

This coalition of dual black man nailing is not going to be taken lying down, texxx.

Rest assured, for every nail you drive, a nail will be driven back into you.

Also remember this: when you lay down with the dragon, you may end up getting singed.
