I thought Pakistan was where Obama was doing most of his saber rattling.

Mitt Romney crystallized it last night with his comment about "General Hillary Clinton". WOW. Can you imagine being a proud member of the armed forces and having to report to HER? WOW. General Hussein Obama would be even worse. The country is quickly moving towards rejecting this possible outcome as it's finally dawning on people to look under Hillary and Obama's hoods before they buy those jalopies.

    It was certainly his fault.

But the thing is that a guy does something 6 times out of 4000, that is apparently common practice, but this is something opponents choose to make an issue of.

It's like saying he forgot to dot an 'i' when he was writing a thank you letter. Yes it was a mistake, that was his fault, but it isn't really important. to use that as something as an attack just shows that he doesn't have much for people to attack.

We can add it to the other things people attacked him with, that are either false, or meaningless.

He's not the only one made mistakes, and he will not be the last one. However, a mistake is still a mistake. It's very disheartening to blush it off as it is nothing. 6/4000 doesn't seem to be a lot, but with his 130 "present" votes, plus his #4 ranking no-show in senate voting, one should question his guts to stand by a position at critical moments.

I don't think he will make a mistake to press the nuke button, but it really shows you the quality of your fellow supporters from the first 4, 5 responses to an new article. Instead of the message itself, it's about the ethnic background of the thread opener. More ironically, from supporters of a candidate doesn't see skin color.

if she made an innocent mistake in 6 out of 4000 votes in a state legislature no I wouldn't care.

The efforts that you and wnes and others are making to try to trash Obama are so focused on matters that are so INCREDIBLY trivial it is very telling.

"I found a blog posting that said his dad was a polygamist, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY NOW OBAMA DEFENDERS!"

"I find it inetresting that all the OBAMA LOVERS are SILENCED by this 80 year old black obama supporter who claims that 25 year ago the CHA was pulling FIBERGLASS out of the projects!"

It really illustrates how few skeletons he has in his closet compared to Hillary, Rudy, etc.

speaking of mitt romney, could you imagine being a proud member of the armed forces and having to report to someone who claims that his 5 able-bodies sons are doing more for the country by helping him campaign to be president than going and serving in the armed forces?

i guess since now they are having to report someone who was an ivy league male cheerleader in a time of war, romney might not be all that offensive.

Very telling in last night's debate.

    from cnn--

The statement came during a back and forth with moderator Tim Russert, after Romney was asked how much of his own money he has donated to his presidential campaign.

"We'll report that on the 31st of January, as required by law, and probably not a minute earlier. You'll just have to wait, Tim," Romney said.

"But why not tell the voters of Florida and across the country how much of your own wealth you're spending, so they can make a judgment and factor that into their own decision?" Russert responded.

"Well, I'm not concerned about the voters,"

    Not concerned about the voters?!?!?!?

I would never vote for Mitt. He would be more firendly to big business than Bush has been. If he wins the primary, I'm crossing party lines and voting for Hillary or Obama. I'm not even kidding about this.

To me, this story by itself means nothing.

But given the Clinton's charge of him voting 130 times of "present" rather than voting "yes" or "no", I can understand why LA Times want to run this story.

The last time I checked, LA Times is not a right wing paper.

This story is only meaningful if it is seen as part of a pattern.

Again, to me, it would take a lot more for me to say Senator Obama is an opportunist. But I am also smart enough to know that other people is entitled to their opinion. I am definitely not stupid enough to attack other people's ethnicity or their country of origin simply because they don't agree with me.

so we're back to you have nothing to say about the actuall article. I don't know, if it were the same circumstances what would happen. if hillary said she pressed the wrong button 6/4000 times, in a legilature where it seems to happen to numerous people, I probably wouldn't care.

I don't know who you are saying obama is getting a free pass from. no one posts these idioic criticisms of hillary. no one posts an idiotic article about the church she attends. no one posts an idioitic article about her supporting slave reprirations.

but since you want to play make believe you can actually do some real comparison. In this thread a questionable character is linked to campaign contributions to hillary. you can do an ACTUAL comparison with the thread from yesterday.

I don't think it's a big deal in all honesty, but it does add fuel to the fire about his inexperience and standoff approach to lawmaking. At the very least, i think one should be a little worried about this and his voting "present" so many times

the free pass question was directly intended for you on this specific article.

    i'm not a Hillary supporter :)

if you actually follow my many posts, I very rarely am concerned about a politician I don't care about. honestly never really cared for hillary either way, I was happy for her when she one the senate seat. the only thing I've every really had a problem with is her support for iraq which I felt was all political.

The "present" votes are a bogus non-issue. It happens all the time in the Illinois State Legislature. The NYTimes already did a story about it.

Dude this just pathetic, how about post the complete story.

Talking about taking a line out of the context. He was referring to not letting his opponents know how much his own money he has spent, i.e. he is not worried if voters know how much he spent.

Your link just proved Mitt's point, not voters, but his opponents and outlets like CNN will use every opportunity to attack him.
