I saw the sign and I went "Really?". But sadly, I could only read the first word. Do you remember what it said?
Talk about disrespectful. I'm glad that even during Bush's lies and sending Americans to die and kill innocents, the opposition weren't that disrespectful to him.
Listening to the Republican rebuttal right now. It sounds like someone didn't actually listen to Obama's speech and is talking about things and issues that were cleared up, and go directly against the arguments he's trying to make. The guy is also talking about tort reform. The one thing that has proven in every single case to not lower the cost of health care. What a lousy rebuttal. I wish opponents of the health care reform bill would make arguments about something real instead of this crap. One surprise is that the congressman/doctor who gave the rebuttal has been sued for mal practice 3 different times.
I thought the same thing. CNN has the decency to give this guy a fair shut at rebuttal, and it does seem like he didn't even watch the speech.
LOL because he's supposed to revise his entire prepared speech within 2 minutes after hearing Obamas'? Get real.
I find rebuttals in general stupid. There's no way you can craft a well though out response to a 45 minute long speech so quickly. Not unless you're going completely off the cuff. Instead, you have to read comments written before the speech was even given. And when you do that, you risk giving a response like this one or the one Jindal gave earlier this year.
Only caught the last 10 minutes or so and the Republican response. I'll have to read/watch the speech tomorrow. Watching the CBS coverage and the guy made it sound like the Public Option is in serious doubt. Republican response mentioned deregulating coverage between the states which I certainly like, but I think they need some sort of public option in any proposal.
I wouldn't say revise, but I'd expect him to attempt to anticipate what was said and modify his response.
And before he got into politics, he got conned by a couple of Brits when he tried to buy the aristocratic title of Lord.
I think he clarified that he wasnt a birther a few days after saying he thought "there were some questions" about Obama's citizenship. Prob not a birther, but enough of a p***y that he was afraid to upset the crazy fringe. Then again, the crazies that believe Obama is Kenyan are the same ones who bring weapons to town halls...and he lives in Louisiana...so maybe he was just protecting himself.
Fine, if you want to call it something else, take it up with CNN. Nobody is going to give that speech the time of the day unless it is right after Obamas'.
