Just to point out there are countries that don't have single-payer systems but hybrid systems that do pretty well such as Japan, Taiwan and Switzerland.
That's fine. Let's go for it. They still don't let the whole thing be governed by insurance company lobbyists controlling legislators against the health and financial interest of its citizenry.
