Is that a criticism of the media or the administration? I am not sure what you are suggesting the administration do especially given the highly partisan nature of Congress and their desire to defeat him at any cost.

I mean, part of leadership is dealing with people who don't care about anything but political power. How are you suppose to deal with them? Give them as much fodder as possible to defeat you???

I'm a rice graduate, and there are bigtexxx's and Trader_Jorge's aplenty there, for better or worse. Look into the history of William Marsh Rice sometime.

 

True, you can buy or play your way into any school. All the Rice grads I knew were super smart though - it's amazing that on this forum you can have a guy with an advanced physics degree debating a guy like bigtexxx who can't construct a counter argument to save his life - both who went to the same college.

bigtexxx isn't dumb. he's just incredibly focused on an agenda when it comes to this forum.

It all depends on how you wish to define dumb. Maybe he can do differential equations on napkins on an airplane, but he sure as hell can't put together a nuanced argument. I know because I had to do it for him all those years ago.

I'm also a Rice grad and I work with the alumni groups a bit and most alums I work with are pretty nice, but then again, we're not talking politics at these functions.
