Here's your solution, libcucks: don't buy a phone so you'll have enough money to afford a month of healthcare.

with more people pulling out since they don't have to get healthcare, wouldn't premiums rise?

What? Doesn't it favor the wealthy enough with tax cuts?

Yes. Which would cause more people to pull out, making premiums rise some more. The problem with the mandate in the first place was not that it forced people to buy in, it was that it didn't do a very good job of forcing people to buy in.

Of course it is. For 7 years, all Republicans did was complain about Obamacare and do everything they could to make it fail. They never thought about actual viable solutions - just political fodder that they knew would never pass. Conservatives like you loved it all and rewarded them for it - and now you own the end result. The party has never come up with a viable alternative because they really don't know how to. They made a bunch of impossible promises to the American people and now are stuck. So they are going to throw all the promises into a bill that is completely non viable and will make things far worse, and they'll either pass is and create a total disaster, or they'll fail and who knows what happens from there.

This is the basic essense of how the entire GOP operates. They are the party of no, but have no viable policy plans. When Dems get power, they make the tough choices. The GOP has never been known for doing that. They pick the easy way out and then run the country into the ground for everyone else to fix.

This would be funny to watch unfold if it wasn't so sad.

I can't wait till the trumpanzees see their premiums and realize what they have done to themselves.

And it won't start kicking in until 2020 after the elections.

That's been my thinking since the election especially in the "What should Democrats do to win in 2018 and 2020" thread. Just let the GOP and Trump implode on their promises to their own voter base. Unless their constituents actually receive real benefits in their everyday quality of life, it won't take long before they turn on Trump and the GOP too. They voted these guys in under the promise of having jobs, fixing healthcare and immigration. They won't be able to fix healthcare. There won't be jobs coming into those rural towns. And their immigration policies thus far have been disasters. They'll have no Obama or Dem majority Congress to blame it on. Just themselves. And once they see their elected officials for the frauds they are, they will consider alternatives. It's going to suck for the majority of Americans waiting for help but they were offered fool's gold and that's what they're going to get.

At best this bill is a wash financially w/ ACA. At worst, the bill significantly weakens the ability (with the mandates) to cover the sick, poor, and those who work for small businesses who couldn't afford to cover their workers.

So if you're not going to -
    A. Create a free market capitalist healthcare for profit model or
    B. Improve on Obamacare to help lower costs & expand coverage further under ACA improvement

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Politics - See America.... we kept our promise to F over the sick & poor.
Or just simply you are in it for the sole purpose of removing the mandate and giving the richest 400 families in America their multi-million dollar tax break back.

I know Trump fans will support anything he does, or backs but please for the life of me Trump fans tell me why this bill is actually good FOR YOU. Unless you are a millionaire of course in which that answers that question. For the rest of the 95% of Americans, why in the world would you support this.... And don't give me some Spin about how it will "Give more options" and "lower prices on the market with more competition", etc.

Health care providers & insurance companies aren't lowering their rates. That wont happen just as you aren't all the sudden going to tell your boss you will next year start working for 4 bucks an hour less than you did this year just because they fixed some light bulbs in the office & put a new juice machine in the break room. Ain't happening folks.

Check out this graph.... see any consistency here?

Even if this new plan "Levels off" Health Insurance Premium annual increases, its still going to take decades for your earnings to increase enough to compensate for the premium hikes that have occurred since 2001.

The fact is we can keep doing this dance every 4 or 8 years when we get a new president or we can fix the problem once and for all. This new bill won't fix sh#$, and won't make your health care costs any cheaper. If anything they will continue to go up as we no longer will have the millionaire taxes in the pool to help keep costs down.

If you are a Millionaire.... sorry I want to redistribute SOME of your wealth but look at it on the bright side..... YOU ARE STILL A FU$%ING MILLIONAIRE.

When a fool gets fools gold, he still thinks he is rich.

It's sad but many of the fools are too ignorant or blind to realize they are being fooled.
